"Because I had a long transit, I decided to book a hotel near the airport. I booked 4 rooms, and in the details it said there was a free airport transfer. I contacted the number provided a week before arrival, but the response was very minimal. They only told me to contact them again once I arrived. When I arrived, they asked how many suitcases we had. In the end, they came with a small car, so they had to pick us up twice. The driver who picked us up was very unfriendly and looked quite angry for no clear reason. When we arrived at the reception, we were not treated well. One of the 4 rooms we booked had a very bad smell, and it had to be changed to another room. Before check-in, I told them I needed an airport transfer in the morning around 5 AM. However, they said we had to be ready at 4 AM because they needed to make two trips to take us to the airport. So we agreed. At 4 AM, two of my friends were not ready yet, and the receptionist got very angry and even told me to leave. I’m very disappointed with the unfriendly service. Honestly, I wouldn’t have minded paying extra for the airport transfer if it meant better service"

"The hotel's location is excellent, right across from Gulangyu Island. Peace Wharf, where you can catch a night cruise, is just downstairs. It's also very convenient to walk to Zhongshan Road! The hotel service was great, especially Miss Zhao at the front desk. Knowing I was traveling with my 80-year-old mother, she specifically helped me arrange a 1 PM late check-out. Many thanks!"

I will definitely choose Lujiang Hotel again next time I visit Xiamen."

The only drawback was the soundproofing; it wasn't very good, and you could hear the neighbors turning on and off lights and talking."

"Right from check-in, the experience was unpleasant. The hotel facilities are quite old. Despite my booking including breakfast, I was told it wasn't. There were no toiletries like razors or combs in the room. The complimentary orange was very old. The shower drain was also an issue; it would clog every time I took a shower. When I forgot something after check-out and asked for help retrieving it, everyone just passed the buck. Overall, not a good experience!"
