4-Star Hotels in Xiamen

The hotel's location is excellent, right on Zhongshan Road, making it very convenient to walk to Zhongshan Road and the Gulangyu ferry terminal. There's a wide variety of shopping and dining options nearby. The room facilities are also great, with a very thoughtful design. The staff are friendly and even escort guests to their rooms to explain how to use the amenities. The only downside is that most rooms don't have proper outward-facing windows; they are either faux windows or face an inner courtyard. Our window faced the inner courtyard and was essentially just for show.

I was very satisfied with the service at this hotel. I could get free ice cream when checking in at the front desk, and supper was also provided in the evening. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The hotel's location is also very close to Xiamen Gaoqi Airport, and they offer airport shuttle service, making it very suitable for those who need to catch a flight the next morning.

My recent stay at the Kulangsi Resort in Xiamen was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this was a special place dedicated to providing a tranquil and luxurious getaway. Wonderful Environment: The resort is beautifully situated, offering a perfect blend of lush, manicured gardens and serene landscapes. It feels like a hidden oasis away from the city's hustle and bustle, yet it remains conveniently located. The views are stunning, and the overall atmosphere is one of peace and relaxation. It's an ideal spot for both couples and families looking to unwind. Excellent Hotel Facilities: The facilities are top-notch. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and featured a modern design with all the amenities one could ask for. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. Beyond the room, the swimming pool was a delight, and the fitness center was well-equipped. Every corner of the resort is maintained to a very high standard. Standout Service from 小陈 (Xiao Chen): While every staff member we encountered was professional and friendly, one individual truly made our stay unforgettable: a gentleman named 小陈 (Xiao Chen). His service was, without exaggeration, world-class. He was incredibly thoughtful and anticipatory, always seeming to know what we needed before we even asked. From offering insightful local tips to ensuring every small detail of our room was perfect, his attention to care was remarkable. He embodies the true spirit of hospitality and is a tremendous asset to the Kulangsi Resort. Verdict: I wholeheartedly recommend the Kulangsi Resort. The beautiful environment and excellent facilities provide the perfect backdrop, but it's the outstanding service from people like Xiao Chen that transforms a great stay into a truly memorable one. We will definitely be returning.

The hotel environment is impeccable, with spacious public areas and beautiful birdsong and flowers. Perched on a hill, I was woken up every morning around 5 or 6 by the chirping of various birds. It's about a 15-minute walk to Xiamen University and Putuo Temple, though it's uphill and a bit tiring, but taxis are quite convenient. The room was also very large, with a bedroom offering a distant view of the rooftops of Xiamen University. All in-room facilities were well-equipped. While I wouldn't delve too deeply into the cleanliness details, it was acceptable, but the sound of water running from the rooms above or next door was particularly noisy. The service was excellent, with prompt responses to all requests! Overall, I was satisfied, with one exception: the breakfast was too basic. It felt like it cost less than five yuan to make, truly the most perfunctory breakfast I've ever had in decades of staying at hotels. We ended up ordering takeout for the kids for both days, so I don't think it's worth booking a rate that includes breakfast. I'd like to offer a suggestion to the hotel: with such a great location and environment, it should strive for perfection by putting more thought into improving the breakfast. For tourists, a hearty breakfast is truly important. If a buffet isn't feasible due to cost-cutting, at least the set menu could be more varied, instead of just offering a bowl of congee and one or two pre-made buns every day, which is quite unappetizing.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a family room with a bathtub and mezzanine level, which made the stay even more special. The hospitality was excellent. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. What surprised me most was that the hotel even provides butler service, which added a very thoughtful and personal touch. The location is also very convenient, just a few minutes’ walk from Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The hotel environment was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. We also really appreciated the complimentary use of the washing machines and dryers, which was very convenient, especially during a longer trip. Overall, we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay here again.

I didn't take any photos of the room, but it was really good! The service standards are super high. I've stayed here twice now. The front desk staff, both the young men and women, are warm, friendly, and polite. The cleaning ladies are very respectful of personal space, super efficient, diligent, and responsible. Robots deliver takeout directly to your room with a call. The room was quiet, and there was no cold water issue (meaning instant hot water). I rarely write reviews, but I'm truly satisfied ✨. I'll definitely stay here again next time I come to Xiamen.

The hotel overall is great, the environment is quiet, the room is clean, and the facilities are in good condition. The staff are friendly and responsive. The location is convenient for getting around, and it offers good value for money. It's definitely worth staying here.

This is a very good hotel. It is right next to the shopping mall, so restaurants and coffee shops are everywhere. We really appreciated the friendly front desk staff getting us an upgraded room. It is spacious, cleaned, comfortable, and fully stocked with everything we need. We love their long and cleaned pool. It’s perfect for lap swimmers. Definitely we will recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

We stayed here for 2 nights and booked 2 rooms. We had a really pleasant stay! The rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and exactly what we needed. The location was also super convenient the walking street is right downstairs, so it was really easy to explore, shop, and find food nearby. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying here again next time.

The hotel's location is quite advantageous. Just outside, there's a pedestrian street with plenty of food options nearby, and it's also close to Xiamen's Eighth Market. It's quite convenient to Xiamen University, Gulangyu, and Nanputuo Temple. The front desk staff also have a very good service attitude, which is quite nice. They also offer breakfast on the second floor with a good variety of dishes.
