My stay at the Hongcun Zuoxian Art Hotel was a mix of delight and slight inconvenience. The hotel's interior is beautifully designed, featuring many artistic elements that create a unique and charming atmosphere. However, there were some small design issues that detracted from an otherwise pleasant experience. One issue was the bed frame, which was positioned in such a way that it was easy to accidentally knock into it. Additionally, the courtyard rooms, while picturesque, were not directly connected to the main building, requiring a short walk, which was less than ideal during rainy weather. Furthermore, navigating the hotel involved quite a number of steps and uneven surfaces, which could be hazardous if one is not careful. Despite these minor drawbacks, the hotel's overall ambiance and artistic flair made for a memorable stay. With a few adjustments, the Hongcun Zuoxian Art Hotel could truly shine as a top-notch destination.

Facilities: Smart hotel is very worry-free, the facilities are very new, and the bed is very comfortable. Hygiene: Clean and tidy Environment: It is just outside the west gate of Hongcun, and it is convenient to go anywhere, especially to watch the sunrise in the morning. Service: The service is especially good. I called the boss in advance to pick us up by electric car at the west gate parking lot. We chose not to include breakfast, but the boss said that we did not include breakfast but would send breakfast. The breakfast sent was of many varieties and tasted good. It was very comfortable to eat breakfast in the riverside restaurant. The boss also helped us upgrade the room type. The accommodation experience is very good, cost-effective, and highly recommended.

The room is very clean, and it smells fresh as soon as you enter the room. The courtyard is simple and elegant, very beautiful, and you can take blockbuster movies in the B&B. Many young ladies borrowed the door to take pictures. The boss is very enthusiastic, and the tea is also very delicious. I was very lucky to participate in the boss's barbecue party, drink with some like-minded people, sit with the person you love, and blow the wind of the ancient city. It is really a great blessing in the world. The people and the scenery are beautiful, and a good accommodation will really bring infinite surprises to the journey. The stinky mandarin fish here is super delicious, the people here are very enthusiastic, and the sunset is even more beautiful. When traveling to Anhui, I prepared a guide in advance and finally chose this hotel. The hotel environment is good, clean and sanitary. The breakfast is also very rich. It only takes five minutes to walk to Hongcun attractions. It is very convenient. The hotel location is particularly easy to find. The room is comfortable and comfortable to play in. I highly recommend this hotel! I have my own kitchen and it’s convenient to eat: I ate the authentic Anhui specialties such as stinky fish, dried bamboo shoots and roasted pork, and stir-fried bracken. When visiting Hongcun, it is definitely more convenient to stay in the scenic area. We chose the Qingyin Caolu B&B, which is located in a quiet area amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. It only takes 2 minutes to walk into the alley from the big tree at the entrance of the village. My kid and I stayed in Yuese Xishi room, which had a big bed and a big window. The weather was fine and the view from the window was stunning.

This time, I stayed at Bo Xin Yun She Ming Jing Yuan, which gave me a poetic memory of Huizhou. The location is excellent, just in the first archway, which is very convenient. The night light show is close at hand. The room type is the ”Book” courtyard twin room. When you open the wooden window, you will see the lush courtyard. The 200-year-old plum tree stretches its branches on the eaves. The quaint banquet in the flower hall and the ingenious exhibits in the intangible cultural heritage museum make people feel like they are traveling through time. The girls are very kind, especially the housekeeper Xiao Cui, who provides thoughtful and meticulous service throughout the whole process, from the warm reminder when making an appointment to pick up the station, the explanation of check-in, to the thoughtful afternoon tea arrangement and the gift of homemade fermented bean curd, and even the business car delivery station is personally arranged. The ”Hey Xiao Qiao” smart device in the room makes living more convenient. The dried bamboo shoots wontons for breakfast and the brown sugar rice cakes for afternoon tea are all homely and warm. The only regret is that the restaurant was a bit struggling due to the full room that night. It took 70 minutes to serve all five dishes. The waiter was very hard-working and sweaty but still smiled and apologized. I can feel the team's dedication, but the staffing really needs to be optimized. When I left the hotel, I looked at the busy figure of Xiao Cui under the lanterns in the courtyard, and suddenly understood what ”the details show the Zen heart of clouds and water”. If Bo Xin Yun She is a three-dimensional ancient book of Xidi, then this stay is a page of quiet time that is gently turned.

Hongcun Yushan mountain scenery house is convenienly located near the South Gate of Hongcun Scenic area. We booked courtyard B which is located outside and behind the main hotel complex with breakfast included. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable, and had a small courtyard, but unfortunately no garden chairs or table to sit outside. In hindsight we woud book another room in the main complex next time. It has a lovely open garden and plenty of outdoor seating. I contacted the hotel before our stay and managed by using a voice translator to connect with the staff on Wechat. A friendly staff member met us at the entrance to the scenic area and entry is free of charge when you stay at the hotel. The hotel staff don't speak any English, but they were very helpful and friendly and we got along fine using Wechat and other translators. I won't recommend eating dinner at the hotel as there are many local Chinese restaurants in the ancient village. The hotel offers a coffee shop in the lobby and has a number of options, like Americano, Latte etc. The coffee is very good, but I felt it was a bit pricey for the cup size. The hotel breakfast is Chinese with no Western options, and it is served in unique way in a tray. I enjoyed the breakfast, but my husband would have liked more western options. On our arrival the room was already pre-heated and the beds in the room were comfortable. It was snowing lightly when we arrived and there were umbrellas available in the room. They also provide vanity items. We visited just before the Chinese New Year tourist rush at the beginning of the holiday and this was a very good location and time to visit despite the cold weather. The ancient village was not too crowded and it was nice to walk around in the evenings and daytime with the hotel is situated conveniently right next to the South lake. Drone flying is allowed which can give drone flyers an aerial view of the village. Depending on your iterinary a one night stay is sufficient to visit Hongcun and the nearby Xidi ancient village then move on to another hotel at the foot or top of the mountain or Tunxi village. We enjoyed our stay and can recommend this hotel to travelers wanting a good hotel experience in Hongcun.

I originally reserved a room for one day, but the boss was so kind and the courtyard was so beautiful. I stayed here for 4 consecutive days and I couldn't bear to leave. You can sing, eat, and fish in the small courtyard. There is a large area of ​​rice at the door. The misty mountain is especially fairy. The surrounding area is very quiet. When you enter the village, there is a long and beautiful road with flowers, rice fields and mountain bosses on both sides. There are bicycles that you can borrow to ride and take pictures. It is really beautiful. The boss is really caring. The room is very comfortable and the facilities are complete. The bed is very comfortable and the toiletries are very good. Because it was raining and the clothes were not dry, the boss even took the dryer specially. There is also a toilet mat for babies in the room, which is very suitable for bringing children to play. The meals cooked by the aunt are also delicious, and the boss also gave the children fruits to eat and special products when they left. Knowing that we were going to Jingdezhen, the boss asked a friend to help us book a discounted hotel. When we left, he sent us to the car like a friend from afar. Mom and Dad also lived very comfortably and made friends with the boss and mom. They insisted that I stay for a few days when I came back from Jingdezhen, and I would take the children on vacation when I have time. My mother told me to write more good reviews 😄😄

From the moment you step into the B&B, you will be healed by the warmth of the wooden structure and the ”aesthetics” and ”poetry” banners on the walls. The books and handicrafts on the bookshelf are within easy reach. On a rainy day, curling up on the sofa next to the stairs and reading a collection of folk poems makes it seem as if time has slowed down. The homestay perfectly combines traditional Huizhou architecture with modern aesthetics. There are transparent floor-to-ceiling windows hidden under the white walls and black tiles. When I open the window of my room, I can see the tea pavilion and the endless tea fields. In the morning, I make a cup of ”Huangshan Maofeng” and look at the mountains shrouded in mist in the distance. It is simply a heavenly day! The bar counter of the cafe is retro and artistic. The latte made by the guy is served with a coaster with handwritten calligraphy, and even the latte art is in poetic shapes. If you also yearn for the practical version of ”poetry and distance”, close your eyes and choose it! Next time I will bring my parents here to experience the tranquility of ”living in the human world”.
