This guesthouse in Hongcun was a hidden gem in Huizhou during my trip. I booked it casually before arriving, but the owners' warmth and hospitality made it the most comforting stop on my journey, completely redefining my expectations for travel accommodations. The moment I stepped inside, I was struck by its aesthetic appeal. The rooms were minimalist and Instagram-worthy, the twin beds were so soft I fell asleep instantly, the bathroom had a separate shower and toilet with a smart mirror, and the entire place was spotless. The tea table and Hanfu rack in the common area added an elegant Huizhou touch. Even more surprising were the services. The guesthouse offered a free Hanfu try-on experience, and even arranged pick-up and drop-off at the Hongcun scenic area. The 24-hour concierge service was always ready to respond to any needs. The owners' thoughtfulness was even more comforting. They picked up our luggage as soon as we arrived and, worried we might get lost, drove us to explore the surrounding scenic spots. We wanted to extend our stay, but the rooms were already booked by returning guests, so the owner's wife drove us to a new hotel, pointing out good places to eat and shop around the area along the way. They even gave us a bag of Huangshan sesame cakes when we checked out. The hospitality here truly treats guests like family. If I ever come to Hongcun again, I'll definitely stay! A stay that exceeded all expectations. The hotel is new, the bed was comfortable, the front desk lady was very friendly, the breakfast was generous, there's a gym and laundry facilities, and they even gave me two free tickets to Mount Qiyun. Previously, similar experiences elsewhere would have cost at least 400-500 yuan, without the tickets. It's a great choice for a self-drive trip to Mount Qiyun! Because the hotel is so new, some rooms may have a certain decorating smell, which isn't true for everyone. If you experience this and find it bothersome, ask the front desk lady to change your room. Also, there's a slow charger in the parking lot, charging 1.6 kWh.

The room's location is good, overlooking rice paddies and tallow trees, offering a pleasant view from the window. The mattress and blankets were comfortable, but cleanliness was so-so; I found hair in the blankets the first time I opened them. Also, due to the old building, soundproofing is poor; I could hear other guests outside and people chatting in the lobby. One morning, I encountered a group of loud people, which was a bit annoying. Facilities: It has all the essentials of a guesthouse, but maintenance is average. The courtyard landscaping is rather rough, the window handles inside were broken, the key was tied with a simple rope and easily lost, and the light switches were poorly placed; you had to walk to the door to turn off the lights. Cleanliness: Average. Upon check-in, I found wads of toilet paper on the router, thick water stains on the shower glass and faucets, unclean window glass, dirt on the cabinets, and dirty socks on the floor. People who are particularly concerned about cleanliness probably won't like it. Environment: Overall, the location is excellent, situated between Hongcun and Tachuan, both within a 20-minute walk, with a pleasant natural environment. Service: The owner and the housekeeper were both very welcoming. They helped carry our luggage upstairs and answered all our questions in detail. I hope they continue to improve.

The sound insulation of the room is particularly poor. The people upstairs can speak clearly. The sewer pipe is in the room, and the sound of flushing the toilet in the upstairs room can be heard clearly. Basically not resting well, the noise is too loud! The room is also very small and there is no place to put the suitcase. The water in the bathroom shower room is also a problem, and the water will splash out even if the door is closed. In addition, there is no door in the toilet... The price is too low.

I was very satisfied with this guesthouse. The hotel is located near the main entrance of Hongcun (west gate), right next to Nanhu Lake. The advantage of this proximity is that I could get up early to photograph Hongcun at dawn, and then return to my hotel bed for a nap just minutes later. The bedding was very comfortable, and the towels and other toiletries were of good quality, not thin disposable ones. Highly recommended.

The hotel is only 13 kilometers from Hongcun, a popular tourist destination, making it a reasonable choice for travelers who don't want to pay high hotel fees in scenic areas. Yixian County is right next to the hotel, with many restaurants nearby. There is ample parking space in front of the hotel. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast is simple but hygienic. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, giving us directions to restaurants in the county.
