The word “Liao Liao (了了)” originates from the Zen realm of “clearly, as if not moving”. The universe has its own orders, which lead to all things in nature. If you can understand the orders, you can keep your heart clear and quiet even when facing sudden changes. It is freedom to return to the original state of mind and body.

This B&B is located in the Jiaoxi Hot Spring District. It has a good location and convenient transportation. Although there is no breakfast included, eating out is a pleasure in Taiwan, so it doesn’t really matter.
Because it is a hot spring hotel, there is a private hot spring in the room, which is a big plus.
However, the decoration style of the room is more childish and dreamy. It may be because the main customer base is families. For me who is traveling alone, it is a bit unsuitable. The colors and layout are a bit too cartoony.
In addition, the mattress bedding smells a bit like old people's smell, which is not very comfortable, but you can only bear with it.
Apart from that, the overall living experience is OK without any major problems.
The city of Kailan, "Toucheng", is located at the northern end of Yilan, an early living settlement in the Lanyang Plain. Lanyang Wushigang Seaview Hotel has 135 view rooms, surrounded by mountains on three sides and facing the sea. Starting from deep into the Lanyang Plain, it will accompany travelers to explore the old days of Toucheng. Every morning the morning breeze blows, and a slight sea breeze blows. A book and a cup of tea watch the fisherman who is about to set sail. At dusk, the aroma of a cup of coffee is slowly guiding the fisherman's home direction. There is a gleam on the shore, looking forward to the fisherman drifting on the sea and returning home safely. Looking at the distant mountains, the fishing boat followed the waves of the waves, full of catches, and returned. The story of the fisherman at sea is like the ebb and flow of the waves tapping the reef, which outlines travelers' memories of traditional fishing villages. The hotel treats travelers with "local ingredients", "natural experience", and "childlike life". It provides tea gardens, coffee shops, sea view restaurants, top-floor sea view restaurants, swimming pools, book pavilions, parent-child world, KTV entertainment, and multifunctional meeting rooms Other facilities allow a short travel stay to relive the warmth brought by the place.

9.5/10
Outstanding
Kkuai pengThis hotel is quite ok. Although no one will come in to clean during the stay, you can go to the front desk to ask for supplies. The bathroom is also ok.
I read reviews before saying that the sound insulation is not good, but in fact it is not bad. You may also use earplugs to sleep; the transportation is very convenient, it is only a 5-minute walk to the train station, night market and meat soup. The shop selling souvenirs nearby is also good; the staff are also very good. We will introduce delicious food near the night market when you enter the hospital.
P.S. The basement of that building is for commercial property, so single travelers who don’t mind don’t want it, but I haven’t encountered any weird people in the few days I’ve been there, so it should be fine if you notice it.
TTango GinaI was impressed by breakfast, no processed food, some are the most primitive and prototype food, roasted sweet potato roast pumpkin, pumpkin soup, carrot kiss fish porridge, scallion pancake roast chicken, boiled eggs, up to four kinds of fruit, plus milk tea orange juice and coffee series.
Regardless of the building, garden planning, room layout and restaurant furnishings, they are all European style, and the environment is very clean. I saw the service staff finishing the garden and facilities for two days and one night.
It was my first time to take my cat out and I felt good.
AAnonymous UserThe scenery is very beautiful and the reception staff are very kind. It is really the concept of being awakened by the sea view early in the morning! The breakfast part is also very rich, Western and Chinese styles have fresh juice!
GGuest UserIt was such a relaxing and enjoyable experience! This hotel really checked all the boxes for a comfortable and family-friendly getaway.
The highlight for us was the tatami-style bed in the room. It’s low to the ground, which made it absolutely perfect for our toddler and 1-year-old. We didn’t have to worry about them rolling off the bed, and it even doubled as a safe, spacious play area during the day. The kids loved crawling and jumping around, and we parents could relax knowing they were safe.
The private hot spring in our room was the best part of the stay. After a long day of traveling and exploring, being able to soak in the hot spring was exactly what we needed. It was clean, spacious, and perfect for unwinding while the kids napped or played.
Orient Luxury Hotel in Jiaoxi is a fantastic choice for families, especially those with young kids. The tatami-style beds, private hot spring, and thoughtful service made our stay both relaxing and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a comfortable, family-friendly hotel in Yilan, this is definitely a great option.
We left feeling refreshed and can’t wait to come back for another visit!
The grandparents especially loved it—it was so convenient for them to enjoy the hot spring without having to leave the room. It really helped us recharge for the next day!
The breakfast buffet was great! There was a good mix of Western and local ********* dishes, and everything was fresh and delicious. The kids enjoyed the pancakes and fruit, while the grandparents appreciated the traditional congee and hot tea.
BBenjo8Been here a few times . It’s always peaceful and the hot spring does have a hot sulphur smell unlike the other hot springs in Jiaoxi. Normally when we check in before we get offered lots of help and because we’re here with a baby they would ask if we need bathing stuff for babies as well as a bed mini protection gate/ wall which prevents the little one from falling off the bed. However , this time round we had to ask for these stuff ourselves for the first time!
Also, we normally ask for an hour late check out because our toddler usually naps during that time where we would offer to pay for the over time . 3 times they had given us a free extra hour, but this time the woman refused and said I had to pay an extra half day board for an extra hour which is ridiculous. She said it was full, however when I checked availability online they had plenty of room so she was obviously lying.
Shame , I used to like this place , now I would reconsider coming here again as the level of service has dropped and we were becoming regulars at one stage !
AAnonymous UserRoom was big and good. Clean and location is convenient! We enjoyed the evening snacks given by the property. If driving then just take note as if no space, woll need to park at opposite hotel.
GGuest UserAll kinds of feelings are good
The most important thing is that the service staff are very kind.
If I have the chance to visit Yilan again, I will want to stay there again.
PPizza-boyI recently stayed at a charming bed and breakfast that exceeded all my expectations. The highlight was definitely the playful slide right in our bedroom—what a fun and unexpected touch! The kids had a blast and made our stay feel even more special.
Outside, the play pool was a perfect spot to relax and unwind. We enjoyed splashing around and lounging in the sun. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting, making it an ideal place to kick back after a day of exploring.
One of the best parts of our stay was the delicious ********* food served at the B&B. Each meal was bursting with flavor, showcasing authentic dishes that satisfied our cravings. I highly recommend trying their rice rolls and congee —they were simply delightful!
Overall, this bed and breakfast offers a wonderful blend of fun activities and fantastic food. Whether you're visiting with family or looking for a unique getaway, I can’t recommend this place enough. I’ll definitely be back for more sliding and savoring!
AAnonymous UserFirst of all, this is a very old hotel that has seen truly better days. While maintained well, it has retained it's original furnishings and decor from the 1980s and 1990s. Staying here reminded me of my childhood travelling with my family in the 80s. The actual room does not look anything like the ones shown on the website. The hard floors mean you should wear their slippers or bring your own room slippers. The hot spring water advertised is just hot spring water pipes that go into your bathtub. There is a step that emulates hot spa step in the bathtub.
The breakfast was good with nice braised meat and eggs that you can put over your rice or porridge. There's also hot soy milk. But no hot tea, only coffee. The staff look tired but hard working.
There was a grumpy older lady receiptionist when we checked in and she was pretty rough in the check in process. E.g. ”if you don't put a number here, and you leave things in the hotel, we'll just throw them away! Just to tell you first.”
Room was quite small or cosy, depending on your perspective. The only thing new was the air-conditioner. The TV set had all the settings for channels but none worked. Internet wifi was not quite working too.
JJindongPleasantly surprised and impressed by the hotel's architectural design and the vast lawn in front of the hotel.
However, with only one receptionist handling the check-in, the process was unbearably slow and took a long time to complete.
Fortunately, when we finally went into our room, we once again were blown away by the spacious room configuration. There were two large beds against the wall, and L-shape sofa couches, with plenty of bay windows surrounding the magnificent room. The bathroom was okay, no Toto. But that’s fine. The gigantic hot spring circling tub was large enough to fit at least four adults. It is equipped with a whirlpool! And there’s a big glass shower room, of course.
The bedding was very comfortable. There are also typical tea and coffee bags with four water bottles and a small fridge. All the expected amenities were provided in the lovely hotel.
Although there are paid afternoon tea facilities at a reasonable price, it didn’t offer to dine for the evening. But I guess it’s understandable since there’re plenty of great restaurants in the JiouSi and Yilan areas.
The breakfast was so so lovely. We’re up late. But the staff did remind us to pick up as much food as we needed before they put them away.
Overall, it’s much better than we expected. We initially thought it might be tacky and exaggerated in its deco. We found this 5-year-old hotel used suitable materials to compose its content. So we liked it and enjoyed it very much. We will come again with our friends. We highly recommend it!
