Hotels in Dongao Island, Zhuhai

For my wife’s birthday and the hotel room is kinda bad for the price. I pay over 1000 per night and the funniest thing were we paid extra for the own private tub outside of our room but the hotel main spa aren’t included our rate and all the lower rate rooms are all inclusive 😅 the so called private tub is NOT private and u can hear the public spa people talk and fun. Most of all the second floor to fifth floors guests are all looking at ur PRIVATE tub and since the hotel receives lot of travel tourists and services between the Main Street and the hotel travel were as bad as u can get. Either u seated there 30 mins to waiting their car full to drive back to hotel or u have to fight ur way into the stupid bus ! What the heck! Very very poor management! and of coz the food in the hotel were bad and don’t try the Thai food pls …. The seafoods in the Main Street are expensive and taste so so but the locals are all helpful and friendly. Scenic walks are good exercise, overall the hotel is disappointing but the staffs are mostly friendly and helpful.

Newly opened in 2025, the Alila Dong'ao Island hotel lived up to our expectations. With comprehensive facilities, innovative design, and stunning 360-degree ocean views, every detail is photogenic and truly made us feel like we were living right in the heart of the scenery. Both Haitang and Haiyan restaurants are highly recommended, with fresh ingredients, skilled chefs, and friendly wait staff. The cliff-top infinity pool is a must-try; it's breathtaking! ⛵️😊👍🏝️

We happened to arrive during a rain spell, and I thought we'd be cooped up in the room for three days. To my pleasant surprise, though, the very next day was gloriously sunny! What luck! The room itself was decent enough. My only minor complaint was the infrared sensor, which frequently turned off the lights automatically – a bit annoying. We requested a dehumidifier from room service, which quickly sorted out the humidity issue. Our room offered an expansive view of the endless ocean. The food, however, was a bit of a letdown – quite bland, to be honest, haha. I do hope the restaurant considers adding more local specialties to their menu. Our children absolutely loved the kids' club and the pool; they had so much fun they didn't want to leave! I heard that the Haitao area isn't fully developed yet. Hopefully, it will be complete by our next visit. Unfortunately, a typhoon had passed through two days before our arrival, washing a lot of trash ashore. It hadn't been fully cleared yet, and there were sharp objects like broken glass, so I'd strongly advise both kids and adults to wear shoes if they plan to walk on the beach. Definitely take the island tour if you get the chance! Time truly felt like it stood still there. I'm sure a week-long stay here would be utterly blissful. This time I booked a family room. I was very satisfied with the room. The balcony had a view of the sea, and the hotel service was very thoughtful. When I left the hotel, I was given a seasickness patch. There was a butler from the time I set off to the time I left the hotel. The concierge Feng Junhui was always online and answered questions quickly. The front desk staff was very polite and considerate. The hotel can share facilities with another hotel in Nansha Bay, and there is a bonfire party with a rich program.

The Dong'ao Island Mountaintop B&B I stayed in this time really gave me a big surprise! Although the B&B has been open for 21 years and has been baptized by typhoons and sea breezes for many years, the appearance is slightly vicissitudes, but the environment is absolutely first-class - it has an unbeatable sea view, a large garden, and a night view of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, which is so beautiful that it makes people forget their fatigue! The sanitation of the guest rooms is very clean among the B&Bs on the island. Although it is not as good as the standard of a five-star hotel, the bedding is neat and the facilities are complete, making it very comfortable to live. The most added point is the front desk service. After booking, I immediately received a call to confirm the pick-up time. The whole process was warm and thoughtful, and the response was super timely, which made people feel particularly at ease. In terms of transportation, the sightseeing bus station is right at the door of the B&B (the cheapest route on the island, 10 yuan/person). Although travel on the island is not convenient, the location here is already very friendly. Comprehensive environment, service, and cost-effectiveness, this B&B is definitely a treasure choice for Dong'ao Island, highly recommended!

The sanitary environment is full, the room is spotless; the facilities are brand new and complete, all of which are big brands; the room is medium in size, and there is a small balcony that can be ventilated and dried; the landlord and his wife are warm and thoughtful, all nearby islanders, and the hotel is also very close to the pier. The only downside is that there is a problem that there will be air conditioning in the bed and the blade needs to be manually adjusted. Friends and relatives will be recommended to help, thank the landlord for his hard work, I wish the business is booming 👍👍

其實這個位置的話，它你那個接駁車哦，不對，不對，你那個港口的船是挺近的，距離不遠，很方便，但是可能因為我們訂的特價房把房間就一般一般嗯不過是這樣的，民宿的房東那服務態度比較好，他會給你地圖告訴你可以去看日出，可以去哪裡哪裡玩。怎麼樣的？然後退房的時間呢，因為我們買那個船票有誤，然後也跟他協商了一下時間，他也沒有催着趕我們走，也挺不錯的。

I arrived early and wanted to check in early, but the room was not ready yet. The boss speeded up the cleaning and did it himself, which was very helpful. There is a super large projector in the room, and it is very enjoyable to watch a movie at night. There is a lemon tea shop with a good environment on the right side when you go out, with an unparalleled view of the sea. The place to eat is also very close. After buying seafood, go to the restaurant recommended by the boss for processing. The taste is very good.

The moment I checked into the room, I felt like I stepped into a quiet place. The faint lights and clean sheets give people a low-key comfort. The corner of the sofa next to the window is exactly where the sun loves to stay in the afternoon, which makes people inadvertently kill an afternoon. The smile of the service staff is not hot, and the service is just right to relax. There are not many types of breakfast, but each mouthful is warm and fresh to meet daily needs. At night, the quietness of the room formed a delicate balance with the bustling city outside. Well, that is the natural existence, people have a kind of unhurried comfort.
