Australia is known as the "Living Fossil Museum of the World", where visitors can get up close to some of the world's rarest wild animals. In Kakadu National Park, visitors can follow professional guides to explore wetlands, savannas and sandstone cliffs, looking for traces of sand wallaroos, black-striped wallaroos, monitor lizards and saltwater crocodiles. Australia's zoos and wildlife sanctuaries are also great places to see wild animals. Sydney Taronga Zoo, Melbourne Zoo, Brisbane's Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and other places provide safe and close contact with Australian species such as koalas, kangaroos, wombats and Tasmanian devils. Here, visitors can also participate in professional animal lectures and interactive experiences to gain a deeper understanding of the living habits and conservation status of these animals.

Witnessing Nature’s Wonder, the Tiny Penguins

#timetotravel #australia #melbournetrip Must-not-missed trip when you visit Melbourne, watching the Penguin Parade at Phillip Island! It takes around 2-3hours drive from Melbourne city and there are plenty of day-trip tour services that you can join that will cost anywhere from AUD139 to above AUD1000 depending on the group size and travel time. The tour I joined in called Bunyip Travel departed from Melbourne at 10AM and return by 10PM. It was mesmerizing to sit and watch those penguins emerge from the ocean towards their burrows. No photo & videos are allowed during the Penguin Parade and it can take quite a while to wait for those penguins to show up, so if you go in winter time, make sure to pack some warm clothings as you’ll be sitting outside. Or just pay extra to get the indoor - underground seatings. Fun trivia told by our tour guide: Chris & Liam Hemsworth are from Phillip Island! Their parents still live here 😆

A Journey to Meet the Majestic Ocean - Experiencing the Breath of Nature at Nobbies Centre

A Journey to Meet the Majestic Ocean - Experiencing the Breath of Nature at Nobbies Centre

During a bus tour, we visited the Nobbies Centre, and the scenery was truly breathtaking. Walking leisurely with my family along the boardwalk, we were awestruck by the rugged coastline and the Southern Ocean. Seals were basking in the sun on the rocks, and I couldn't resist capturing the moment with my camera. The sea breeze was incredibly pleasant, making us feel one with nature. The nearby blowhole was also impressive, especially during high tide when its power was awe-inspiring. It's a quiet and refreshing place where you can fully enjoy the beauty of nature.

Known for its stunning coastal scenery and adorable penguins, this island is a must-visit for nature lovers and families alike. One of the island’s most iconic attractions is the Penguin Parade. Every evening, hundreds of little penguins waddle ashore at Summerland Beach after a day of fishing in the ocean. This natural spectacle is a heartwarming experience, as visitors gather to watch the smallest species of penguins make their way to their burrows. The well-maintained viewing platforms and boardwalks ensure you get a close look while respecting the penguins’ habitat. Another highlight of Phillip Island is The Nobbies, a picturesque coastal area with rugged cliffs and panoramic ocean views. The Nobbies Centre offers interactive displays about marine life, and the boardwalks allow you to explore the coastline and spot seals lounging on the rocks below. The blowhole, a natural rock formation where waves crash dramatically, is another awe-inspiring feature of this area. Phillip Island isn’t just about penguins and scenic views; it’s also home to beautiful beaches and other wildlife attractions. You can visit the Koala Conservation Reserve to stroll among the treetops and observe koalas in their natural habitat or enjoy a day at Cowes Beach for swimming and relaxation. Whether you're captivated by the nightly Penguin Parade, mesmerized by the sweeping views at The Nobbies, or simply soaking in the island’s natural beauty, Phillip Island offers a perfect getaway that combines adventure, wildlife, and tranquility.
