Chezest Cafe

#australiatrip This is a cute, no-nonsense cafe and bakery. It's clean, efficiently run and staff are polite. They have a Japanese twist too, with chicken and pork katsu offered in curry and sandwich format. The food is fresh and exactly what you expect. It's slightly more expensive than I would normally pay, but it was a pleasant experience. I recommend adding the sautéd mushrooms to your breakfast! Very tasty.

Jewelled sea - natural wonder downunder

It has always been one of my bucket lists to visit the Great Barrier Reef and it certainly did not disappoint! The weather was perfect on our sailing day with cerulean blue sky and light breeze. We booked a cruise tour which included two reef locations- Saxon Reef and Hasting Reef. It was one of the most amazing experience ever! The two sites were quite different in terms of their marine landscapes and great for different activities. The Saxon Reef was relatively greater in depth and would be a perfect location for a dive, whereas Hasting Reef has spectacular coral reef at proximity even when snorkelling. We saw a huge local fish called ‘Wally’ (Maori Wrasse) and many other marine life! Would love to visit another reef next time! Tips: even if the sea was calm, highly recommend to take sea sickness prevention pills in advance. #greatbarrierreef #naturalwonders #queensland #cairns #australia

Daintree Rainforest

The Daintree is World Heritage listed for very good reasons. it's an awesome experience just being in the rainforest, breathing in the atmosphere, seeing the huge variety of life, it leaves you speechless when a cassowary stops and checks you out, yes, we saw wild cassowaries on different days. And there is a natural ice cream factory never thought ice cream could taste that fresh ! #couplestrip#nationalpark#naturalwonders

Scuba Diving

after discovering the love I have for diving at a young age I decided to finally take the plunge in the Great Barrier Reef. on my final few days visiting Sydney from UK I decided to fly to cairns and end my vacation with a dive of a lifetime. captured are a few of the moments I had below the surface which are surprisingly in shallow waters so even snorkelers wouldn’t be left out. before you depart in the morning there is a stand which rents GoPros for A$70 which isn’t too shabby if you haven’t got one and it’s for the full day you’re out too. definitely bring a lot of sunscreen with you on this one as you’ll definitely catch the rays. the cost may seem to be a lot but believe me diving in the GBR is every divers dream! #createwithtrip

#australiatrip This is a lovely little cafe, looks and feels good the minute you step inside. Great for coeliacs (like me) as totally gluten free. But unfortunately that also means it is more expensive than other cafes due to high cost of gf ingredients. I had the pancake stack for brekkie, which was gorgeous. The presentation is perfection, makes it not only authentic but just an absolute pleasure to be in. I had Pink Flamingo when I went back, absolutely delicious.

The Great Barrier Reef: A Coral Kingdom Under the Sea

The Great Barrier Reef: A Coral Kingdom Under the Sea

Located in northeastern Australia, the Great Barrier Reef is a group of coral reefs surrounded by azure waters. It is the world's largest and longest coral reef, stretching along the coastline of Queensland like a colorful ribbon. 🏖️✨ 🧬The Wonders of Coral Reefs The Great Barrier Reef is made up of approximately 2,900 coral reefs of various sizes, spanning a total length of about 2,300 km and covering an area of 344,400 square kilometers. It is one of the largest living organisms on Earth. 🐠🧬These coral reefs were formed by countless coral polyps and microorganisms over thousands of years. They are like architects of the sea, using their remains to build colorful underwater cities. 🏰🌊 🐠A Paradise for Marine Life The waters of the Great Barrier Reef are home to over 1,625 species of fish and countless other marine creatures, such as turtles, whales, seabirds, and rare marine life such as giant clams and manta rays. 🐢🐋🐦🦈It is home to clownfish, grouper, and black-spotted rock cod, and is a popular spot for sharks and beluga whales. Every corner is filled with the miracles of life and the mysteries of nature, waiting for brave explorers to discover. 🔍🌍 🌿A Blend of Nature and Culture The Great Barrier Reef is not only a natural wonder, but also a testament to human culture and history. Since ancient times, it has had a significant impact on the culture of the indigenous people living on the northwest coast and the Torres Strait Islands. Here, you can see rock art galleries and more than 30 famous historical sites, the earliest of which date back to 1791, bearing witness to the vicissitudes of this sea area. 🖌️🏛️ 🔥Facing Threats and Challenges However, the Great Barrier Reef also faces huge threats. Global warming has led to rising ocean temperatures and ocean acidification, causing great damage to coral reefs. In addition, industrial pollution, overfishing, and plastic pollution around the Great Barrier Reef have also caused immeasurable damage to this beautiful ecosystem. 🔥🌊In order to protect this precious underwater kingdom, the Australian government and scientists are taking active measures to restore the ecological environment of the Great Barrier Reef. 🌳💪 The Great Barrier Reef is a vibrant and wonderful world. Its ancient history and colorful ecology are awe-inspiring. 🌍🌊Let's cherish this gift from nature and protect this unique miracle on Earth! 🌈💖
