Amsterdam, a city full of historical charm and modern atmosphere, attracts tourists from all over the world with its unique canal landscape and rich cultural heritage. As boats glide through the intricate canal network, the Golden Age splendor of the "Venice of the North" unfolds.17th-century gabled buildings cast reflections on water, vessels pass under low bridges startling perched seagulls, with scents of cheese and waffles drifting from waterfront cafés as cyclists flash by - the city becomes a living oil painting.

Classic Canal Tour: Aboard panoramic glass-topped boats, leisurely navigate UNESCO World Heritage canals. Audio guides reveal canal house secrets: tax-avoidance tales behind narrow facades, pulley systems hidden in roof beams. At Magere Brug, captains slow for romantic photo opportunities at this legendary love bridge.

Food & Drinks Cruise: On tulip-adorned vintage vessels, embark on a culinary canal journey. Servers present sea-salt sprinkled cheese and crispy bitterballen, paired with chilled jenever. When passing Seven Bridges, chefs demonstrate traditional herring eating - swallowing the fish midair amid joyful laughter.

Light Festival Cruise: Each winter, Amsterdam transforms into an open-air light museum. Glide through light installations in transparent boats: Danish team's rainbow vortex. With heated blankets and hot chocolate provided, enjoy artistic navigation in subzero temperatures.

China Airlines, customer-centric Amsterdam to Taipei The food and service on the European routes are really better (compared to departing from Melbourne) The congee accompaniments are even better, and the beautiful flight attendants take the initiative to make the bed. They kindly introduce various facilities. The restroom decor also has more of a Business class atmosphere 13-hour flight Star-rated meals. Every dish is a unique delicacy. When flying with China Airlines, you must try the unique lychee oolong sparkling beverage The latest version of the overnight kit is quite tasteful and worth collecting

A Christmas Weekend in Amsterdam: Magic, Markets, and Mulled Wine

There’s something truly enchanting about Amsterdam during the holiday season. A Christmas weekend getaway to this vibrant city promises festive charm, cozy moments, and a delightful blend of Dutch traditions and seasonal magic. Arriving in Amsterdam in early December, the air was crisp, and the city was already twinkling with holiday lights. The iconic canals, lined with charming 17th-century buildings, took on an almost fairy-tale quality, with the lights reflecting off the water and creating a magical atmosphere. On the first day, I wandered through the city’s Christmas markets, each with its own unique flair. The Ice Village Market, nestled in front of the Rijksmuseum, was a standout. The scent of warm Dutch oliebollen (fried dough balls) filled the air as visitors sipped on mulled wine, their faces rosy from the cold. Stalls offered handmade crafts, unique gifts, and traditional Dutch treats, and I couldn’t resist picking up a few local trinkets as mementos. As the evening drew near, I joined a canal cruise. Amsterdam’s canals, lined with festive lights and decorated boats, looked even more magical from the water. The experience felt like being in a living postcard. I sipped on hot chocolate, wrapped in a blanket, while the boat drifted peacefully through the heart of the city, passing under bridges adorned with glowing decorations. The next day, I explored the festive neighborhoods of Jordaan and De Pijp. These areas, known for their cozy cafes and independent boutiques, were even more inviting with Christmas lights twinkling above the cobblestone streets. I enjoyed a leisurely brunch in a cafe where locals chatted and smiled, sharing the warmth of the season. No Christmas trip to Amsterdam would be complete without a visit to the famed “Winter Wonderland” at Vondelpark, a bustling fairground with ice skating, rides, and a vibrant atmosphere. The joy of skating under the crisp winter sky, surrounded by families and friends, felt like the perfect way to embrace the holiday spirit. As my weekend drew to a close, I found myself in the heart of the city, watching the festive lights twinkle along Dam Square. The combination of Amsterdam’s history, stunning architecture, and Christmas cheer made this a holiday experience I will never forget. It was a short trip, but one that left me with lasting memories of a city that knows how to do Christmas right. #magicalxmastrip #christmas #weekend #holidayseason

Anne Frank House

#europetrip The 30 min introduction tour is a must have for any Anne Frank fan. Our guide was great at explaining all the information! It gives a look at her life that makes the actual tour so much more engaging and meaningful. No photos are allowed inside the actual house but the audio guide gives enough information. I wish they posted the guide numbers in a better position as sometimes people would gather around it making it difficult to get too. Overall, it was sobering to walk through the house, seeing it with my own eyes after reading about it.

Magical Amsterdam🇳🇱

Amsterdam here we go! This summer had been great to spend my long leave in Netherland alone. I've decide in less than 3 months to spend my summer holiday strolling around the city and canals. With 72hrs city cards, I manage to enjoy my leisure time until the Zandvoort beach. 👍 the beach was wonderful and breezy. Beside that, I did enjoy my time at Vondelpark and heading towards the famous The Seafood Bar restaurant. Amsterdam was a beautiful and lively city and you should be here to experience the food, the dutch pancakes, the fries, the coffee, the canals and see for yourself the ancient building with your own eye. oh! before I forget, i'm staying at Hotel Fine Harmony. The room is big and the bed was so comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance to many interesting places. I wish I could go back again soon and spend my day rilex and enjoy my coffee with a friend. Amsterdam totally awesome! #mytripvlog #tripblazers #spooktaculartrip #deliciousfood #foodie #summer
