Returned from Yading at the end of October and saw the autumn colors of Western Sichuan. In early November, Western Sichuan had a heavy snowfall, transitioning directly from autumn colors to winter scenery. At the end of November, I went to Seattle, where autumn colors 🍂 can be seen everywhere in the streets and alleys of North America. Unfortunately, there were more cloudy days. But when I finally returned to Xiamen, the sun was shining brightly, and I also went to see the maple leaves. In Beijing, I knew that red leaves were not just maple leaves, but in North America, I discovered that autumn colors are so colorful and layered, with leaves in so many shapes and such rich colors—the autumn palette became tangible. Its layers are different from the colorful forests of Western Sichuan, not as intense, but romantic…

In Daocheng Yading, the secret to taking a life photo is: give yourself back to nature. No need for elaborate posing, just stand quietly in front of the snow-capped mountain or stroll along the stream. Mount Yangmaiyong is the ever-present solemn backdrop, and the autumn colorful forest is a representative landscape. 🌟Location tips 1️⃣ Luorong Pasture meadow, capturing stories while walking 2️⃣ Holy Water Gate plank road, extending the visual with winding curves 3️⃣ Along the plank road, the colorful forest contrasts sharply with the snow mountain For outfit suggestions, choose solid colors to let the scenery be the star. Altitude sickness can’t stop the urge to press the shutter because every corner here says "worth it." 📸Remember three rules 1 Natural posture: You should blend into the environment’s logic. For example, walking on the plank road or sitting quietly by the lake creates story associations, making the photo naturally lively. 2 Movement first: Walk, run, or look back on the plank road, let the wind be your stylist. 3 Small figure: In the vast snow mountain meadow, a single silhouette is enough to be striking. The solitude here is the most sincere dialogue with heaven and earth. To sum up: the scenery is definitely proportional to the effort, but safety and joy always come first. No matter which path you choose, Yading will never disappoint you.

Very lucky to complete the Yading long trail just before it closed. Finished both the long and short trails in Yading, Got up close to the three sacred mountains of Yading. Just as inland children yearn for the sea, Children from the plains have a special affection for the mountains and rivers. Every time I see such scenery, I truly marvel that there really are such beautiful places in the world.

Today's route: The Ten Lakes of Yading: Boyongcuo✓, altitude 4700m, actual ascent about 650m. Specific route: Take the bus from Yading Village to Zhaguanbeng, walk 500 meters to Chonggu Temple to buy an electric cart ticket (originally wanted to buy to Station 2, but only full-price tickets are sold there) — take the electric cart to Shengshuimen and get off — there is a large meadow at the stop which is the start of the hike — follow the Erbu Road track — after reaching Boyongcuo, return the same way to Shengshuimen — take the electric cart back. Along the way, you can see Xianuodiri and Yangmaiyong, an incredibly stunning beauty. The snow-capped mountains are solemn, and humans are but tiny specks. Under the sunlight, the water of Boyongcuo sparkles, the lake water gently ripples, sacred and beautiful. Unfortunately, there was quite a bit of trash seen amidst the beautiful scenery, which is heartbreaking… why go outdoors if you litter? 🙄🙄🙄 On the way, I also saw two girls carrying 50-pound backpacks, very admirable.

Boyongcuo is the first day route of the Yading Grand Circuit, offering a good option for those who have limited time or ability to complete the entire circuit. It snowed heavily the day before arriving in Yading, and many leaves fell after the snow. The weather was quite bad during the few most beautiful days, so seeing the most beautiful Yading is not that easy. Arrived at the Boyongcuo campsite at 3 PM, at an altitude of 4750 meters. At night, except for the guide, everyone suffered from altitude sickness. Personally, I think the Bayu campsite at 4500 meters is more suitable for camping because Boyongcuo is mostly stones and some grass, with almost no flat ground. Bayu campsite has many shrubs, higher oxygen content, and a flatter ground suitable for pitching tents. The only downside is having to get up earlier in the morning to climb for an hour to reach Boyongcuo. Climbing to a high spot on the left rear of Boyongcuo offers a photo opportunity with the three sacred mountains and the lake in the same frame, but I didn’t go up due to altitude sickness discomfort.

The "Yading Great Mountain Circuit" is a circular hiking route that goes around the outer edges of the three sacred mountains, offering rare perspectives of the three holy peaks and encounters with high-altitude lakes like Bowo Yongcu, which can only be reached on foot.
