It ended up being just over 20,000 steps for the day, which wasn't too tiring and felt just right. The cleaners, security guards, and NPCs I met along the way all greeted visitors. The restrooms in the scenic area were also very clean, and the sinks even had floral water and hair ties—very thoughtful. The best part: whenever someone smoked, the staff stopped them immediately! The scenic area is currently striving for 5A status, and I strongly support them, especially for the smoking ban! Timeline: Departed from Xuanhan at 9:10 AM and arrived at the visitor center in 1.5 hours. There were plenty of parking spaces. I parked for over 7 hours, and the parking fee was 10 RMB. I had lunch at Lianghekou, the terminal for the scenic area shuttle, and started hiking. I walked the Brave's Route, stopping and going, and it took 5 hours in total. I left at 6:10 PM. The scenic area ticket is valid for 2 days. If you don't want to be too tired, there are also hotels near the visitor center, which is very convenient. Overall, I highly recommend it. It was less crowded during the National Day holiday, allowing for off-peak travel. The water in Taoxi Valley is very clear and beautiful. I got soaked happily at Yuquan Cave; only when I got there did I understand why I saw people wearing raincoats.

And wow! It's really good 👍 The ingredients are fresh, skewered in-store daily, and neatly displayed in the cabinet. Charcoal-grilled, it's incredibly fragrant. You can eat for just a few dozen yuan per person—the price is very affordable. Dazhou marinated dried tofu is their specialty. Remember to grab plenty; it's delicious. Thin dried tofu + sour radish—oh my, every bite is a treat for the taste buds. Angus beef rib fingers with bell peppers—so satisfying, and the beef rib fingers are tender. Grilled kidney slices—eat them while hot. No gamey smell, nice and crispy, so addictive. They also have "Jianghu" style dishes, full of "wok hei" (breath of the wok) 👍 I love the stir-fried pork aorta; it's crispy and tender, nice and spicy. Pair it with their craft beer—it hits the spot.
