Come and experience the four seasons of Japan as they bloom along the riverbank.
In Japan, there are many famous spots to enjoy spider lilies (Lycoris radiata), primarily from mid-September to early October. One particularly famous spot is Kinchakuda in Hidaka City, Saitama Prefecture. Approximately 5 million spider lilies bloom across a 3.4-hectare area surrounded by the Koma River, creating a carpet of red.
In the Tokai region, the Tsuya River spider lily colony in Kaizu City, Gifu Prefecture, is also popular. Around 100,000 flowers bloom along a 3km stretch of the Tsuya River embankment, offering a beautiful view with the Yoro Mountains in the background.
Other famous spots include Gongendo Park in Saitama Prefecture, Yakatsu River in Handa City, Aichi Prefecture, Inabuchi Rice Terraces in Nara Prefecture, and the Nanatsumori Kofun Cluster in Oita Prefecture, among others throughout Japan. Because spider lilies have a short blooming period, it's recommended to check the blooming status in each location before visiting.
