Although I just discovered it too 😂 Right by Hwy 7, you can come here to experience it before heading to Unionville or Langham Place for a meal. This time I came alone, and I’ll tell my friends if the experience is good. I tried the solo massage + 90-minute foot reflexology combo for 90🔪, which is quite cost-effective and the duration is just right. Not many Chinese people have been here; most are foreigners. They have single rooms, double rooms, and foot reflexology rooms. I started with the foot reflexology, and it was so comfortable I didn’t want to get up. The pressure was just right, not painful enough to make you grimace. The body massage focused on the usually tired areas. I’ve had quite a few massages lately, and I always ask the therapist to focus on my shoulders and neck. Not only did the muscles loosen up, but my sleep quality also improved! The old buildings stood elegantly, their unique colors shining through, and a romantic atmosphere permeated every alleyway. I sat in a cafe, sipping coffee, and gazed out the window at the scenery. The sound of people's laughter and footsteps breathed life into the quiet town. As I wandered through the art shops, a variety of works caught my eye. Occasionally, musical performances took place in the town square, creating a lively atmosphere. My day in Unionville was filled with romance and nostalgia.

A little above Toronto is Unionville. It's a European-style town with lots of cute shops! Especially the main street is lined with stylish cafes and restaurants, so no matter where you take a photo, it's sure to look great on Instagram! The park is huge, and it would probably take half a day to walk through it 😂, but it's only a 2-3 minute walk from the parking lot 🅿️ to where I took the photos. It's a great place for skateboarding, cycling 🚵🏻‍♂️, and so on. Walking along the path through the maple forests is incredibly beautiful. It's perfect for family and friends gatherings because on weekends, there are a lot of people gathering in the park for barbecues and such, and the aroma is so tempting. 😍 🗺️ Park Name: Milne Dam Conversation Park 🗺️ ⏰ Opening Hours: 24 hours ⏰ 🎫 Admission: Free 🆓. 🎫 🚘 About Transportation: There is a bus that goes there, and it's about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Last time I came to my good brother's for barbecue, all the free milk skin and yogurt were gone! This time I came at noon, and I refused to believe they still weren't there! Not only was the fridge full, but they also had brand new jasmine flavor in green packaging. This milk skin is very thick and has a very rich texture. The jasmine flavor is a bit like unsweetened milk tea. Both flavors are safe to eat, and they're just as good as what you buy in the supermarket. Maybe you should open a dessert shop? The summer-limited seafood is especially satisfying! The super spicy tempting street food, originally NT$55.99, is now only NT$25.99. There are tons of crayfish, open-back prawns, clams, and scallops, served with refreshing cucumber strips and lettuce. The crayfish are full of roe and very fresh; the meat can be pulled out whole with a simple pull. Even I, who hates trouble, ate quite a bit. The Thai-style raw marinated mantis shrimp and Korean-style raw marinated crab are so convenient to eat; you don't even need to use your hands, just press your lips together, and the meat comes off like jelly! This Markham restaurant will soon have an outdoor patio for BBQ, and the World Cup will be broadcast live, both indoors and outdoors! So theoretically, a seafood stall with milk skin and yogurt is enough to while away the game! Of course, their signature skewers, sweet and sour pork, and cold noodles are still delicious—authentic Northeastern Chinese cuisine, so it's easy to order too much without realizing it! 😂

🌹I met up with a very sophisticated lady at The Village Grocer. Right at the entrance is a flowerbed and a small gazebo covered in vines where you can relax. Besides the popular Swiss roll and persimmon ice cream I've had before, the flowers here are also beautiful, and the price is reasonable. 🥩The supermarket is very densely packed, a very typical Western supermarket. There are all sorts of tempting cuts of meat, skewers, and salmon. Just buy a few and arrange them on a plate, and you've got a Michelin-starred restaurant! 🎂They also have birthday cakes in various sizes. I can consider this place as a backup option for future birthday cake purchases. Discovered another great spot for weekend hikes! Less than 2 hours from Markham. This trail is well-maintained, nestled between mountains and water. Although there are significant elevation changes, stairs are provided in steep areas, making it easy to walk. Wooden boardwalks cover most of the trail, so you’re mostly shaded from the sun. The trail forms a loop, so there’s no need to backtrack. A small waterfall and suspension bridge are located right at the starting point. If you start from the right side, you’ll walk along brand-new wooden boardwalks and even reach a viewing platform. On the left side, there’s a small cave beneath the fountain that you can enter, though it’s not particularly cool inside. The latter part of the trail follows a creek, and you can leisurely complete the walk in under an hour. Parking 🅿️ Walk-ins are not allowed; you must drive in. Parking spaces are limited, and reservations are required. It’s recommended to arrive on time. If your reservation is from 2-4 PM but you arrive at 3:30 PM, staff will still ask you to leave by 4 PM. The trail is located in a small town, and nearby there’s a cafe selling Kawartha ice cream. The staff highly recommend the peach flavor—it’s absolutely delicious! I thought I'd already tried all the good and beautiful Japanese restaurants in the north... But I never expected Unionville to hide such a gem of a Japanese restaurant! It was almost full on a weekday evening. The ambiance was comfortable and atmospheric, perfect for dates or gatherings with friends. The dishes were so beautifully presented that I couldn't help but take a bunch of photos. 🍣Sashimi & Sushi Platter: All the sashimi was thick-cut! They had sea urchin, salmon, tuna, yellowtail, sweet shrimp, scallops, and herring roe—everything was incredibly fresh! 🤤 🥪I also tried the eel tofu sandwich. It was the first time I'd seen this combination before. The tender tofu sandwiched with eel was incredibly soft and delicious—surprisingly a perfect match! 🍢They also have a variety of yakitori options. The beef tongue, chicken, and scallops were all grilled to perfection. The beef tongue was super thick-cut! Dipping it in their special yuzu salt 🍋, the subtle yuzu aroma makes it even more enjoyable with every bite! The eel rice is also great; the eel is oily and flavorful. Unionville really knows how to hide amazing restaurants! Now I have another place I'll definitely visit when I crave Japanese food.

Recently, I came across an event that I’m super excited about: the FIRA RoboWorld Cup 2026 Robot World Cup Carnival! This is the first time this globally renowned robotics competition is being held in Canada. A place I visit every summer. 📍 Frenchman's Bay, Pickering (Photos 1-4), a beach I’ve been to every summer for the past few years, about a forty-minute drive from Markham. Haven't been this year yet because there are so many other fun places to explore🍦 📍 Pringles Farm, Oshawa (Photos 5-8), personally, I think this is the most beautiful and photogenic farm around Toronto. Kids love it, and there’s everything for eating, drinking, and playing. I've already been three times this summer🍦 Just picked strawberries this weekend, highly recommended. 📍 Toogood Pond (Photos 9-11), a tree-lined path around a pond, right next to Unionville, perfect for a quiet summer afternoon stroll for two. 📍 Edwards Gardens (Photos 12-14), I think the most beautiful time is in May when the flowers are in full bloom, breathtakingly beautiful. Great for bringing food and having a picnic under a big shady tree🍔🥗🍎 📍 Lakeview Park, Oshawa (Photos 15-18), a lakeside park perfect for taking kids, with a splash pad, slides, swings... plus large picnic areas, and no worries about parking spots, highly recommended.
