Beitang Village in Pingtan, despite often being criticized by travelers for its many shortcomings, we found it to be uniquely charming after experiencing it firsthand. Initially, we were deterred by the negative reviews in the travel guides and nearly excluded it from our itinerary. However, after just an hour of exploration, we were pleasantly surprised to discover that Beitang Village is not only picturesque but also rich in history and culture. The old houses and green vegetation complement each other, and the coastal scenery is simply breathtaking. Although the infrastructure in Beitang Village still needs improvement, it is this raw and rustic charm that gives it a different flavor. Beitang Village is a destination worth savoring, especially suitable for those who are keen to explore different cultures and histories.
