![This time we leave Aso City and focus on Yonezuka! However, after visiting several times in person, I found that there are some details I want to share with you, especially the self-driving route definitely to pay attention to, do not want to miss the beautiful view of Mizuka to remember!
[Aso Kumamoto│Yitsuka Mountain Attractions Inventory]
🌟Highlights Overview:
· In summer you can see the magnificent natural grassland + distant mountain blue sky
· Only in autumn and winter you will see the golden grass super fantastic, great for photography
· Driving from Kumamoto to Aso, the attraction signs are only located in the direction of Aso to Kumamoto, not paying attention is really easy to miss!
Miyan Mountain
📍Address: Otohime 869-2226, Amida, Kumamoto
Photography: In the summer you can see the magnificent natural grassland + distant mountain blue sky, in the autumn and winter you will see the golden grass. The on-site nature views allow you to enjoy the unique landscape of the Aso area up close.
[Itinerary Tips・Personal Insights]
· Self-drive route: Come on two separate seasons, both from Kumamoto. Remember: the attraction signage at Yonezuka is actually placed in the direction from Aso back to Kumamoto, and if you are visiting for the first time and don’t know much about this terrain, it’s easy to pass by without paying attention! It is recommended to turn on the GPS positioning in advance and pay more attention to road markings along the way.
· Natural landscape: The view is open throughout the road, get off the car and walk a few steps to see a large area of golden wild grass. When the weather is good, the contrast between the grassland and the mountains is super spectacular, and you can become the main character at any time.
[Scenery Guide & Recommendation]
· Recommended to visit in the morning or noon for the most beautiful light and layered sky and grass colors when photographed.
· No large kiosks or restaurants nearby, remember to bring your own drinks and snacks.
· There are occasional local animals appearing on the roadside along the way to Mizuka, safety first.
【Transportation Strategy】
· It takes about 1.5 hours by car from Kumamoto city.
[Aso Area Tips]
· The grassland area is relatively windy, even in hot summer there will be gusts, bring a thin jacket, sunscreen hat is essential.
· Depending on the seasonal changes, the Mizuka will present different colors, emerald green in spring and summer, golden yellow in autumn and winter, suitable for multiple visits.
Next time you visit Aso, you might as well incorporate this low-key but super super healing attraction in Mizuka and feel the healing power of nature for yourself.
