This time, we skipped the city and headed straight to Aso's natural beauty and Kurokawa Onsen, ranked among the top ten hot springs in Japan, for a soul-cleansing solo trip. 🏃♂️💨 🌋 First Stop: Mount Aso - A Battle of Luck Take the "Kyushu Transcontinental Bus" up the mountain for a close-up view of the crater! 🚌 Money-Saving Tip: Buy the "Aso Crater Route One-Day Pass"! We recommend climbing to the summit to see the crater first, then descending to Kusasenri to avoid the crowds! ⚠️ A Test of Luck: The wind direction depends on the crater's opening! Although we missed B1/B2 areas that day, standing at an altitude of 1,100 meters in Kusasenri, looking at the ponds filled with rainwater and the vast grasslands, my heart was instantly healed. 🥩 Must-Try: The "Akagyu Don" at the Kusanagi Scenic Restaurant – grilled beef mixed with a soft-boiled egg, paired with stunning countryside views, is simply unbeatable! ♨️ Second Stop: Kurokawa Onsen – A 300-Year-Old Warm Welcome From Aso, we moved to Kurokawa Onsen, staying at the 300-year-old Okaya. 🧖♀️ Onsen Highlights: Three open-air baths + private private baths to wash away travel fatigue.
