Ancient Book Exhibition

The Auckland Library is the largest public library system in the southern hemisphere. The top floor of the Central Library in downtown Auckland has an ancient book collection exhibition, including one of New Zealand's most important cultural relics: the Sir George Grey collection. George Grey is one of the most influential figures during the European settlement in New Zealand and is a symbol of 19th-century British colonialism. The current exhibition includes a 13th-century Latin Aristotle science textbook. At that time, papermaking technology had just flowed into Europe, and there was no printing, all were handwritten, so it is very rare.
