Yaobridge Ancient Castle in Miyun, Beijing, located in the Ming Dynasty

Yaobridge Ancient Castle is located in Xinchengzi Town, Miyun, Beijing, and is the only well-preserved ancient castle from the Ming Dynasty around Beijing. There are two gates called the city, but here there is only one gate, so it is called a castle. There is a city tower on the gate in the middle of the south side, and there are corner towers for sentries at the four corners. The corner towers no longer exist, but the city tower is very well preserved. The geographical location of Yaobridge Ancient Castle is critical. The north side is the Great Wall border pass, and the south side is Wuling Mountain, which is known as the 'first peak in the east of Beijing'. It is said that the descendants of the soldiers who garrisoned the border pass still live in the ancient castle.
