Beijing City Walk | Tsinghua University Half-Day Tour Guide

My college roommate came to Beijing with his kid and wanted to visit Tsinghua University, so I quickly put together a guide. Let's go! ❗️ ✅ How to make a reservation? 🔸 Direct reservation: Individual visitors can make a reservation via the "Visit Tsinghua" mini program. Reservations are updated at 8:00 am every day and can be made for the next 7 days. 🔸 Lottery reservation: If you can't make a reservation, you can enter the lottery on the mini program at 5:00 pm every day. The results will be announced at 10:00 pm. If you don't win, you can enter the lottery again at 5:00 pm the next day. ✅ My route: Suitable for kids, moderate distance, about 2 hours in total 👇 West Gate (enter) ▶️ Second Gate ▶️ Sundial ▶️ Tsinghua School ▶️ New Tsinghua School ▶️ History Museum ▶️ Auditorium ▶️ Library ▶️ Shui Mu Tsinghua ▶️ Jinchun Garden ▶️ West Gate (exit) ⏰ If you are short on time, you can skip the New Tsinghua School and History Museum to save a lot of time. ✅ Must-see attractions: 1️⃣ Second Gate: Built in 1909, one of the most symbolic buildings. You need to queue up to take a close-up photo. 2️⃣ Tsinghua School: The main building of early Tsinghua, built in 1911, has cultivated countless outstanding talents. 3️⃣ Sundial: A classical timepiece with the words "Actions speak louder than words" engraved on the base. It was originally a relic of the Old Summer Palace. 4️⃣ Auditorium: One of the four major buildings of early Tsinghua, the other three are the library, gymnasium, and science museum. 5️⃣ Shui Mu Tsinghua: Known as the "garden within a garden" of Tsinghua Garden, with beautiful scenery. After the tour, exit through the West Gate. If you have time, you can visit the Old Summer Palace, which is only a few hundred meters away on foot. ❤️ Tips: - Bring your ID card to enter the park. - After a successful reservation, enter through the West Gate (other gates are not allowed). - Children under 8 years old do not need a reservation.
