Gamcheon Culture Village, Busan. Originally a crowded and backward village, Gamcheon Culture Village (GAMCHEON CULTURE VILLAGE) in Busan began to develop in 2009. This cultural village reminds modern urbanites of the past villagers' interconnected, caring, and mutually supportive way of life, becoming a successful example of modern culture and traditional village life merging together. Along the way in the cultural village, there are observation decks and photo spot signs. The colorful houses scattered on the hillside indeed give off the vibe of Santorini Island in Greece. Walking along the mountain roads, through the alleys and past the villagers' residences, the colorful paintings catch your eye, and the kimchi pots at every household's door remind you that this is a Korean village. Tired visitors can rest their feet at the exquisitely decorated small coffee shops run by villagers, enjoying the view as well. At the entrance of the village, there is Chinese promotional material available for a fee. The material suggests that walking the Writer's Workshop route takes about an hour and a half, or you can follow the signs to visit designated photo galleries, bookstores, cafes, the House of Peace, the village museum, and other nine spots to collect visit stamps, which takes about two hours. To get to Gamcheon Culture Village, take Subway Line 1 to Toseong-dong Station, exit 6. Turn right after the exit, and there are many minibuses that can take you to Gamcheon Culture Village.
