Review of Royal Solaris and Solaris Caribe Buffets in Cancun

Although the hotel is quite cost-effective for Cancun, the restaurant service is a bit sloppy. From my personal experience, it is not very friendly to travelers who cannot speak Spanish. Caribe is an older hotel. The breakfast and dinner buffets are at Solaris Cafe, a small restaurant near the lobby. You can choose indoor or semi-outdoor seating. The service staff is quite friendly. The Royal buffet is located right in the middle of the hotel corridor. There are many types of food, but the service staff are rather casual. The seat I sat in was probably very close to the service staff's rest area. Throughout the meal, I could hear them flirting with each other, which didn't feel very good. As for the food, as others have said, it's mediocre. Overall, if I come to Cancun again next time, I will probably choose another all-inclusive hotel, which may give me a better experience.
