|Symbol of Integrity. The Chenghuang Temple God Tower in Chengcheng, also known as the Music Tower, is a Ming Dynasty building. The Music Tower was first built in the 13th year of the Zhenyuan period of the Tang Dynasty (797), and is a building in front of the Chenghuang Temple. There was originally one bell tower and one drum tower. In the 34th year of the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty (1556), an earthquake in Huazhou caused one to collapse and the other to be damaged. The Chenghuang Temple in Chengcheng County not only has unique architectural features, but also carries rich historical and cultural significance. The decorative elements in the temple, such as the Bagua caisson and the flame pearl, reflect the exquisite craftsmanship of ancient Chinese architecture. In addition, the Chenghuang Temple was historically a place where the county magistrate devoutly worshiped the Chenghuang God, symbolizing the spirit of integrity and serving the people.
