The Ban Hat Bai community is a Tai Lue community on the banks of the Mekong River. They have an interesting way of life and traditions. The villagers' main occupations are agriculture, trading, and weaving. Ban Hat Bai has two villages: Ban Hat Bai Sai Thong and Ban Hat Bai. They use the Sukhawadi Tai Lue Weaving Center as a learning center for weaving. The local woven fabrics here use natural dyes to dye and have unique patterns, such as the Nam Lai pattern and the Sin Tin Jok. The Sin that the people of Hat Bai wear has three parts: the head, the body, and the feet. At Ban Sukhawadi, they have collected ancient woven fabrics that are over a hundred years old and woven fabrics with unique patterns for you to see. In addition, we also took a boat trip to see the beauty of the Mekong River during the rainy season when the water was quite high. It took about 20 minutes. On this trip, we chose to stay at a traditional homestay called 'Huean Naritsara Homestay'. It is a wooden house on stilts with a separate kitchen and bathroom under the house. For dinner, we had a Khantoke meal of authentic Tai Lue food. And the next morning, we went to do the 'Khao Tom Tem' activity, simulating the Tai Lue lifestyle by eating in the middle of the rice field. After eating, we sipped some tea to cleanse our palate, called 'Cha Dok So', an organic tea that helps to relax and refresh, and relieves fatigue. It is another product of the village. Now it's time to 📸 capture beautiful memories of this place because it is untouched nature. It is still nature that we can feel its purity. Therefore, it is suitable for those who want to relax and be close to nature, let the greenness of the rice fields, and trees embrace us, and recharge our lives.
