Staying grounded in the Windy City - Chicago

A spontaneous visit to Chicago during Thanksgiving ended up being a memorable experience. The architecture in Chicago is just one of the best in the world. The buildings and architecture of Chicago reflect the city's history and multicultural heritage, featuring prominent buildings in a variety of styles. Most structures downtown were destroyed by the Great Chicago Fire in 1871. Chicago's architectural styles include Chicago Bungalows, Two-Flats, and Graystones along Logan Boulevard and Lawndale Avenue. The Loop is home to skyscrapers as well as sacred architecture including "Polish Cathedrals". Chicago is home to one of the largest and most diverse collections of skyscrapers in the world. Should we talk about Pizza? Chicago’s dip dish pizza is a must try when in town. There are several places where you can try it but my recommendation will be Giordano’s. Dont forget to visit the parks, museums, the lake and of course, the Observation deck at the Willis Tower.
