Amazon Rainforest Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
living in the world’s largest rainforest
my journey in the Amazon Rainforest starts in Manaus, Brazil…on a tiny boat with local driver I go along the Rio Negro followed by Rio Amazonas and in a day I’m in the largest tropical rainforest in the world (48 times the size of USA!).
What’s the feeling? As soon you are of the boat you feel disoriented…everywhere vegetation, so dense that cannot even see the sky!
And what is even more special is that daytime is so quite…looks like nobody is there, but as soon the sun goes away…the music begin! It’s like millions of the creatures living in the forest wake up and start chatting in different languages! unbelievable sound…that goes all night!
my experience of living in the Amazon forest even for just few days has been a wonderful experience! and the villagers are very friendly:)

Adventures in the Amazon Rainforest
My recent expedition into the heart of the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil was an unparalleled adventure, far removed from Birmingham's urban life. Although it's in a different country, the Amazon Rainforest offers an extraordinary and remote wilderness experience.
The #AmazonAdventure begins with a journey deep into the jungle. The vastness and biodiversity of the rainforest are awe-inspiring. The lush green canopy stretches as far as the eye can see, and the sounds of wildlife surround you, making every moment an immersive experience.
Exploring the rainforest on guided treks allowed me to encounter incredible creatures like monkeys, colorful birds, and elusive jaguars. The Amazon River, with its meandering channels, provides opportunities for boat safaris where you can spot river dolphins, caimans, and vibrant aquatic life.
One of the highlights was spending a night in a jungle lodge, surrounded by the sounds of the forest at night. It's a truly immersive way to connect with nature.
The indigenous communities in the Amazon offer a unique cultural experience. Meeting the local tribes and learning about their traditions, such as tribal dances and medicinal plant knowledge, was a humbling and educational experience.
For those seeking a sustainable adventure, many eco-lodges in the Amazon focus on conservation efforts and provide a responsible way to explore the rainforest.
When planning a trip to the Amazon, it's important to prepare for the region's tropical climate and be aware of the potential presence of insects and wildlife. It's also crucial to follow responsible tourism practices to minimize your impact on this fragile ecosystem.
In conclusion, the Amazon Rainforest offers a once-in-a-lifetime adventure for nature enthusiasts and those seeking a remote and immersive experience. Whether you're drawn to the wildlife, the culture, or the sheer beauty of the jungle, the Amazon is a destination that will leave you with unforgettable memories. #AmazonWilderness #RainforestAdventure

I have lived in the Amazon rainforest in Peru for a few days.
Followed by our guide to visit the original tribe... I don't know if it is because of tourism development, the children in the tribe have pure eyes, but less of a naughty child.

Copacabana Beach Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Copacabana Beach is known as the most famous beach in the world. It is not their self-proclaimed, but has been recognized by many media and tourists. It has a 4.5-km long coastline, azure waters and white clean beaches. The endless stream of people, coupled with the temperature that is suitable for the whole year, attracts countless visitors to enjoy the Brazilian style.
So when I first arrived, I was intimidated by the crowds here. It was the first time I saw such a lively beach, umbrellas of various colors, various lounge chairs distributed on the beach. Every corner of the city, passionate men and women, is like a lively market where people share the warmth of the sun.
There is a saying that the person lying with you in the sun may be a billionaire, maybe a tramp, but at this moment, the sun will not be embarrassing.
Copacabana Beach is known as the world's most famous beach. The coastline is 4.5 kilometers long. The sea is blue, the waves are white, the beach is clean and soft, and the temperature is suitable for the whole year. There are many rivers, and you can meet all kinds of locals and tourists. And the love of football also permeates every corner, I think this is also the inevitable element of this football kingdom. The perfect physical coordination of the Brazilians and the innate artistic cells also makes the entire coastline more colorful.

Drake Passage Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
N Choices for Antarctic Travel! Essential Tips Before Departure.
🌈【Introduction】: Antarctica, as the seventh continent, is defined as the Antarctic Circle within 60° south latitude. It is a pristine land rarely visited by humans, featuring the most authentic landscapes and natural environments. Antarctica is also a paradise for photographers, offering a visual and spiritual shock! The splendor of Antarctica is not just about icebergs but also the magnificence of life!
🧭【Visa】: Before traveling, you need to prepare your passport and an Argentine visa, except for US visas. 💖【Time/Booking】: The current travel season is from November to February. During this season, you can see 400,000 penguins, 100% chance of seeing seals, and an 80% chance of seeing orcas or humpback whales. Note that you need to keep a distance of more than 5 meters from penguins and seals, unless the animals approach out of curiosity. Antarctica boasts thousand-year-old glaciers (ice caps), crystal blue seawater, and a starry sky! Note that ship tickets are in high demand and need to be booked more than 90 days in advance (some require booking 2 years in advance).
🧣【Climate/Clothing】: During the Antarctic travel season from late October to early March, local temperatures range from -10 to 0°C. The daylight lasts about 20 hours, and the average temperature on the ship is 22°C. There is a significant temperature difference between morning and evening. Essential clothing includes two waterproof and windproof jackets for easy changing, fleece linings, thermal underwear (avoid pure cotton, wool is more suitable, or silk and quick-dry clothing), hats, scarves, gloves, non-slip shoes (usually provided on the ship but must be returned), bikinis (for Antarctic ice swimming), and snow goggles (essential).
🚢【Advantages and Disadvantages of Cruise Ships】: The usual way to enter Antarctica is by cruise ship, except for the wealthy who fly to the Antarctic point. Generally, whether budget travel or regular tourism, you should choose a cruise ship in advance. Cruise ships are divided into large, medium, and small types, each with its pros and cons. The type of cabin varies by ship and significantly affects the overall price.
⚓Large Cruise Ships: Usually refer to large ships with more than 500 people, well-equipped with complete facilities. From the comfort level on the ship, the experience is excellent. Large ships do not dock due to their size, so you can watch from the windows or deck, making it very suitable for lazy or older people. Each fjord/waterway is announced via broadcast on the ship. Both sides feature thousand-year-old glaciers and peacock blue seawater. On the deck, you need to quickly grab a good spot to set up your camera and record this magnificent scenery. Every time you disembark, the large ship anchors, and a Zodiac boat takes you ashore, which can be quite an experience (especially in bad weather). Large ships are more stable and comfortable, especially when passing through the Drake Passage (the Devil's West Wind Belt), which is known for its strong winds and high waves. Summary: Relatively low price, good comfort on the ship, relatively stable, well-equipped, but the Zodiac boat experience is not great, and disembarking is cumbersome and complex.
⚓Medium-sized Ships: Refers to ships with 200-500 people. Compared to large ships, the facilities are slightly inferior. Landing is better than on large ships. IAATO regulations state that no more than 100 people can land at the same location at a time. The total landing time in Antarctica is limited, so the landing schedule compresses the sightseeing time. Summary: Moderate price, the drawback is that landing is slightly better than large ships, but the schedule has some impact.
⚓Small Ships: Refers to ships with fewer than 200 people, currently the main force in the market. Antarctica is usually not visited multiple times, so if finances allow, it is the first choice for most people. Small ships are not as stable as medium and large ships in terms of comfort, and the facilities are relatively simple. However, due to the small number of people, the ratio of service personnel and the experience is completely different from medium and large ships, offering more flexibility and significant advantages in landing. Many personalized ships fall into this category, and those operated by Chinese are more in line with the needs of Chinese tourists.
🌐International Classification:
C1 (44 ships): Traditional expedition ships carrying 13-200 passengers, capable of landing activities.
C2 (6 ships): Large cruise ships carrying 201-500 passengers, capable of landing activities.
CR (7 ships): Ultra-large cruise ships with a capacity of over 500 passengers, not capable of landing activities.
YA (22 ships): Sailboats or yachts with a capacity of 12 or fewer passengers.
According to international classification, C1 or C2 is your main choice. The above statistics are pre-pandemic.
🧡【Landing Sites】: Due to different routes, there are more than 200 landing sites in Antarctica, with about 30 regular landing sites. However, the overall landing duration is not affected, but it needs to be comprehensively evaluated based on location, route, and weather factors, so there is a lot of uncertainty.

Antarctica, here I come 13 - Impressions of Antarctica
Crossing oceans and seas, trekking 27,920 kilometers, through Paris, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, and finally arriving at the end of the world, Ushuaia, boarding the Victory Antarctic expedition ship. After two days and nights, crossing the devilish Drake Passage, we triumphantly set foot on the Antarctic Half Moon Island. Carrying the flag of Bay 6 Guandan King Club, I gaze into the distance, a first in my life. The penguin in the picture is called the Chinstrap Penguin, scientifically known as the Pygoscelis antarctica. It feels like the Antarctic icebergs have significantly diminished, humanity must vigorously promote a low-carbon lifestyle! Hello, Antarctica!
