Indeed, Tibet in winter is colder than usual, the oxygen content in the plateau is lower, and many people avoid this season. 🌊At the lakeside at an altitude of 4700 meters, feeling the level 7 strong wind blowing in my face, looking at the pure white ice and snow world in front of me, and the Nyenchen Tanglha mountain range on the opposite side, 'Body in hell, eyes in paradise' is the perfect description for Namtso in winter. 💡In order to attract more tourists in this season, all A-level scenic spots in Tibet have a free admission policy, including the Potala Palace, Namtso, etc. So actually, this is also a good time to travel to Tibet in reverse, after all, during the peak season, 800 yuan might not even buy a ticket to the Potala Palace. Indeed, those willing to endure what others cannot, can see the sights others can only dream of🏔️ When I drove myself on the road here, the real snow country city began to appear before my eyes. 📍Namtso is located in Damxung County 🚗It takes 3h to drive from Lhasa to Namtso (in snowy weather, allow for 3-4 hours of travel) 🎫Due to the free admission policy in winter, you only need to buy a round-trip sightseeing bus ticket for 85 yuan at the Namtso Tourist Distribution Center to visit Namtso (mainly to Tashi Peninsula) 💡The best time to visit is to arrive at noon, because the sightseeing bus to Tashi Peninsula takes 1h, the plateau weather is changeable, the weather is relatively stable at noon, the light is good and it's warmer ❄️The altitude of Namtso is 4700 meters, it is not recommended for friends who have just arrived in Lhasa to go there, it is suitable to be arranged in the later itinerary, and the wind in winter is really very strong, so it is necessary to be well-prepared for warmth, luckily I wore a very thick parka down jacket that day!
