I went to Daocheng Yading once, it's really beautiful, cold, and the altitude sickness is real, but I will never go again. 1, If it's your first time on the plateau, try to choose a hotel with oxygen, because if you have altitude sickness at night, you won't be able to sleep. 2, There are quite a lot of hiking in Daocheng Yading, and it's plateau hiking for 10 kilometers. Unlike Jiuzhaigou, there are sightseeing cars all the way, so be mentally prepared before coming. It's not recommended for people who don't like hiking. 3, Try not to stay in Yading, the conditions are not good, and the altitude is high. 4, Go to Milk Sea first and then to Five-Color Sea. The road to Milk Sea is much smoother than Five-Color Sea, so adapt in advance. 5, Don't bring too much food, just bring necessities. There are food in the scenic area, although it's a bit more expensive than outside, but too much stuff is really a big burden when climbing. Because if you have altitude sickness + fatigue, you really can't carry anything. 6, Milk Sea is not allowed to enter after three o'clock in the afternoon, don't waste too much time in front. 7, Take the electric car to Luorong Cattle Farm before six o'clock in the afternoon. 8, Choose a time when the weather is good to go, you can see the reflection of the snow mountain on a sunny day. 9, You can't take a bath or wash your hair on the first day you arrive in Daocheng, it's easy to get altitude sickness. 10, If you want to ride a horse, you need to enter the scenic area before 9 o'clock. If possible, it's better to be at the entrance of the scenic area at 7 o'clock, because there are few horses and you have to queue for a long time if you don't go early. 11, The wind at Milk Sea and Five-Color Sea is very strong, you need to bring a hat (not a duckbill cap, it's useless), and also wear a windproof and rainproof fleece jacket.
