| Gaoyou South Gate Street (1315). South Gate Street, located outside the south gate of Gaoyou ancient city in Jiangsu Province, was the most prosperous historical and cultural block of Gaoyou city during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The street was built in the Song Dynasty, flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and prospered in modern times. It is a true communication hub of the Li River and the Grand Canal, connecting Su and Wan areas. Visitors come to both sides of the canal, goods are transported from the Yangtze River to the north and south, and its momentum has continued for more than 600 years. This current 230-meter-long South Gate Street has been restored to its former glory, regaining vitality.
