Hangzhou Four Seasons Hotel West Lake is absolutely amazing!

I specially came to Hangzhou to stay at Four Seasons West Lake for Children's Day on June 1st, and got upgraded to a Deluxe Garden View King Room. The hotel service is truly excellent, almost at a top-tier level. 🏨 Hotel Environment: This time I stayed in Room 222 of the West Wing. Unlike Room 216 which offers views of the pond and architecture, Room 222 faces the entire garden, providing better privacy. However, the West Wing is less convenient for going out, though it's closer to the pool and gym, while the East Wing is nearer to Jin Sha Restaurant and the lobby lounge. The public area design shows BB's deep understanding of Jiangnan garden aesthetics, masterfully applying the concealment techniques of Chinese design. It's hard to believe this is a 15-year-old hotel as it's still exceptionally well-maintained. Strolling through the gardens gives a strong Southern Song Dynasty vibe, complete with the Maitreya Buddha statue. If there's any drawback, it's that the pool has too many children, and there's no hot tub in public areas - the water is quite cold after swimming. 🛏 Room Facilities: The 73-square-meter room is quite spacious. While the facilities show their age, they have a nostalgic charm - worn but not dilapidated. Opening the window to view the garden is refreshing and perfect for recharging. The location right by West Lake makes it convenient for outings. For dining, there's the famous Jin Sha Restaurant. Hotel guests can make reservations more easily by informing the hotel when confirming the room by phone, while non-guests need to book 1-2 weeks in advance. The breakfast is also excellent, with almost every dish being delicious and high-quality ingredients used throughout, from simple Greek yogurt with manuka honey to seafood congee with mantis shrimp, mussels and prawns. ✅ Must-try Experience: The hotel activities are very interesting. Our 1-hour double rowboat was upgraded to an electric boat worth 1800, traveling from New West Lake to Old West Lake - quite a long journey. With one guide and one boatman, it offers complete privacy and high-end experience with beautiful scenery, definitely worth trying. The misty Jiangnan scenery makes Four Seasons West Lake even more charming when it drizzles.
