Living experience in Helsinki's winter

#christmastrip #finland #wintertrip Helsinki is a beautiful city in winter, but also very cold and dark. The average temperature is between -7 to 1 degree Celsius (it's -15 in my trip), and the sun rises late and sets early. This time, I travel with my family and here are my feelings: - Wonder: Helsinki in winter offers many wonderful things to do, such as visiting the Christmas markets, ice skating, exploring the Suomenlinna fortress, admiring the architecture and the churches, and seeing the Lux Helsinki light festival. - Relaxation: One of the best ways to cope with the cold and the darkness is to enjoy a traditional Finnish sauna, which is a heated room where people sit and sweat. Some people may feel relaxed and refreshed after a sauna session, especially if they also dip into the icy water or roll in the snow, which is a common practice among Finns. Helsinki with its weather is severe for me - a person come from a tropical country. But the feeling and living during my winter trip, was a memorable experience. I will spend more time for this city in my next trips.
