Introducing a Model Course for a 2-Night, 3-Day Trip to Hokkaido!

It can be quite difficult to decide where to travel in Hokkaido, as it is vast and every region is attractive... So, let me introduce a model course for a 2-night, 3-day trip to Hokkaido that I actually enjoyed!! First, Day 1〜Furano〜 Arrival at Chitose Airport✈️ The first day is a trip to Furano! It takes about 2 hours by car or bus from the airport to Furano, or about 3 and a half hours by train. Hokkaido is large, so it inevitably takes time to travel, but as you get closer to Furano, you can enjoy the scenic beauty of nature, which is fun! Once you arrive in Furano, here are the recommended tourist spots. ○Furano Cheese Factory Located in a lush green forest, you can buy various types of fresh cheese made at the factory! There is also a restaurant where you can enjoy a cheese-filled pizza, so it's recommended to start with a meal here. There are terrace seats available, so dining surrounded by nature is recommended! There's also a cute cow photo spot. ○Shikisai no Oka Depending on the season, you can enjoy various plants here. The vast grounds and the vivid flower fields are very attractive! There are seasonal soft serves available, so take your time to walk around while enjoying one. When I visited, it was just before the lavender bloom, but I was able to see a beautiful flower called catmint, which is similar to lavender! ○Blue Pond This is a very famous tourist spot. The Blue Pond is very fantastical, and the contrast of blue and green in the background is definitely photogenic! There is a walkway around the pond, so try taking pictures from your favorite angle. Day 2 〜Sapporo〜 After fully enjoying the nature of Furano, let's return to Sapporo and enjoy the classic Hokkaido! The absolute must-visit tourist spots in Sapporo are as follows. ○Conveyor Belt Sushi True to its reputation as a seafood paradise, Hokkaido offers fresh and large sushi toppings at affordable prices at conveyor belt sushi restaurants! The great thing about conveyor belt sushi is that you can eat as much of your favorite types of sushi as you like. Hokkaido brand conveyor belt sushi restaurants are located in various places in Sapporo, so it's nice to be able to go to a store that's convenient for you, like near your hotel! ○Sapporo Clock Tower Located close to Sapporo Station, this is Japan's oldest clock tower. You can enjoy this historic building, designated as an Important Cultural Property, right in the middle of the city. You can also learn about the history of Hokkaido, so please visit while strolling around the city of Sapporo. ○Genghis Khan When you think of Hokkaido, you think of Genghis Khan! Fresh lamb meat with no gamey smell is grilled on an iron plate with plenty of vegetables, making it healthy and satisfying. There are many Genghis Khan restaurants, but the classic Sapporo Beer Garden is recommended! It's quite popular with locals, so reservations are a must! ○Night Parfait The culture of having a parfait after a meal as a finisher has recently started to penetrate, and Sapporo is actually the birthplace of this culture! Therefore, there are many night parfait shops in Sapporo that are open late at night. From shops with alcohol-infused parfaits perfect for the evening to shops with lots of fruit, there are various types of parfaits, so be sure to find a parfait shop that suits you. The shop I visited is 'Parfait, Coffee, Sake, Sasaki'. You can enjoy an adult parfait with plenty of fruit and moderate sweetness, so you can easily eat it after a meal! Day 3 〜Otaru〜 On the last day, move to Otaru near the sea and enjoy a different taste of good old Hokkaido. It takes minutes from Sapporo to Otaru by train. When you arrive at the station, take a short walk to the vicinity of the Otaru Canal. There are many shops near the canal, so let me introduce some recommendations! ○Seafood Bowl First, enjoy the bounty of the sea! There are many restaurants in Otaru where you can enjoy seafood bowls and grilled dishes. The seafood is fresh every day, so you can't miss the supreme bowl of Otaru! ○Otaru Art Village Stained Glass Museum After a good meal, visit the Stained Glass Museum to admire valuable art pieces. Displayed here are stained glass pieces produced in England from the late 19th century to the early 20th century, which actually adorned the windows of churches. The multicolored stained glass shines brightly and offers a very fantastical and calming experience. After enjoying Otaru, it's finally time to head home. But the journey isn't over yet! ○Hokkaido Ramen Dojo At New Chitose Airport, there is a spot called 'Hokkaido Ramen Dojo', where famous ramen shops from Hokkaido gather, a spot that ramen lovers can't resist. Be sure to enjoy the last of Hokkaido's gourmet food here and create memories before you leave! The recommended dish is the miso butter corn ramen from Ramen Sora.
