Steamed milk in two films

This dessert may not have the most appealing name, but there's a reason it's the most famous dish at Hong Kong's popular cha chaan teng business, Yee Shun Milk Company. The reason is that it's so delicious that you'll be thinking about it for months after you've eaten it. That's what occurred to me, at least. Steamed milk pudding, steamed milk custard, double boiled steamed milk, double skin milk, and steamed milk with egg white are some of the various names for "steamed milk in two films," also known as shuang pi nai. I'll call it steamed milk pudding in this post for the purpose of brevity.
