It is the Tai O Heritage Hotel. This beautiful two-storey building with a strong colonial style was rebuilt from the old Tai O Police Station built in 1902. It was once a base for fighting pirates. It is located on a secluded hill near Shek Tsai Po Street, overlooking the beautiful sea view and taking in the tranquil Tai O fishing village. The renovated building still retains its original cultural characteristics, and its simple and unique design brings back its former glory. Tai O Heritage Hotel offers nine comfortable, elegant and distinctive guest rooms. The old police station on the top floor, which originally guarded the fishing village day and night, has now been converted into a glass-roofed restaurant, allowing visitors to enjoy the open view while tasting the chef's carefully prepared delicacies. The Cultural Heritage Discovery Centre, which displays pictures and collections of the old Tai O fishing village, allows visitors to travel back in time and savor the historical features of the village.
