Golden Bauhinia Square: A Must-Visit Attraction for Chinese Tourists

Golden Bauhinia Square, located at the new wing of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai, is part of the Expo Promenade. In recent years, it has become a popular tourist destination for many visitors from mainland China. The sculpture symbolizes Hong Kong's everlasting prosperity. Standing 6 meters tall and weighing 70 tons, it is made of bronze with a gold leaf finish and rests on a red granite base. The base features a square bottom and a round column, symbolizing the unity of China's nine regions, and is engraved with a Great Wall motif, representing China's embrace of Hong Kong.
