【South District Hotel Restaurant Suitable for Dinner Party】

The Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel has been open for quite some time, but I never had the chance to visit. Recently, because of a gathering, I finally had the chance to try it 😄 We chose Pier Lounge and Bar. There is a set menu for dinner, which includes appetizers, soup, main dishes, desserts and drinks. 🐙The appetizer is grilled octopus and beetroot salad. I think the balsamic vinegar is a bit heavy, but I like the texture of the croquette, which is chewy and not tough. 🦀️The soup for this day is crab meat and roasted pumpkin cream soup. The texture is quite smooth, the taste is quite fragrant, and you can also taste the crab meat. It comes with soft bread, and it's also good to eat alone without the soup. 🥩For the main course, I chose grilled American sirloin steak. I don't know if it's because I selected the meal in advance when I booked the table. We didn't ask how we wanted our steak done, and when it was served, everyone's steak was done differently. My piece was pretty average, but had a lot of stringiness... The good parts were chewy and had a strong meaty flavor. I also really like the smooth and fragrant truffle mashed potato. My friend ordered French toast x foie gras, which was wicked. But I don’t understand why it is paired with black vinegar!? The sandwich is quite big and comes with fries, which is very filling. 🍓Dessert is strawberry mousse cake. Apart from the overly sweet layer of chocolate on the outside, the cake is actually quite delicious. The final drink can be soda, freshly ground coffee or selected tea. . .
