Nanxun Ancient Town: A Land of Culture and Poetry

Nanxun Ancient Town is located in Nanxun District, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, at the junction of Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. It is one of the six ancient towns in Jiangnan. It was built in the Chunyou period of the Southern Song Dynasty (1252 AD) and has a history of more than 700 years. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, it became a "powerful town in Jiangsu and Zhejiang" due to the prosperity of the silk industry. Zhang Jingjiang (a senior member of the Republic of China), Zhang Shiming (founder of Xiling Seal Art Society), and Xu Chi (poet) were all from Nanxun. The riverside architectural complex shows the typical Jiangnan water town style of "small bridges, flowing water, and homes." The ancient town is noisy during the day, but at night it has a touch of gentleness. Each has its own charm and is worth savoring!
