Please point out any errors. 🎆Water City Kurawanka Fireworks Festival (Hirakata City is located northeast of Osaka and northwest of Nara. It takes about 1 hour to get from both cities to Hirakata City) Number of fireworks: 4704 ⏱️Holding time: September 17, 2023, starting at 19:30 (about 4-5 songs, played with the rhythm of the music, ending at 20:00) 📍Location: Hirakata Venue: Yodogawa River Park Hirakata District Takatsuki Venue: Yodogawa River Park Otsuka District 🚞Transportation: To reach the Hirakata venue, it is about a 10-minute walk from Keihan "Hirakatashi Station". As for the Takatsuki venue, the nearest bus station is the Keihan Bus "Otsuka Station" or the Takatsuki City Bus "Kitaotsuka Station" (We departed from Nara, so we took the Kintetsu Kyoto Line to Kintetsu Tambabashi, and transferred to the Keihan Main Line to Hirakata City Station. Once you get out, just follow the large group. There are police standing along the way, so you don't have to worry about not being able to find the venue. If you depart from Osaka, you can take the Sakaisuji Line to Kitahama Station and transfer to the Keihan Main Line to Hirakata City Station) ❓️Why choose it Although the number of fireworks at the Water City Fireworks Festival is less than that at other fireworks festivals, it is not located in a very remote area. It is just within the itinerary, and you don’t need to go to a remote city to see it. It only takes one hour to get there if you stay in Osaka, Nara or Kyoto. For those traveling in Kansai, it only takes half a day to experience an atmospheric Japanese fireworks display. 🎇What's on site? There was a children's garden party, a water music festival, mobile food trucks and of course temporary toilets on site. ps: If you want to experience it, you can arrive early. The later you go, the more people there are, especially in the food area. I waited in line for an hour to buy three skewers of grilled fish, but it was expensive and not tasty. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to bring your own food, arrive at around 5 o'clock, find a seat, experience the music festival, watch the sunset, eat something leisurely, go to the toilet and wait for the fireworks to start. 🪑About seats When I found out about the fireworks display, the paid seats were already sold out, so I just went for the free seats. It turned out that the site was very open and the visibility was good, but we needed to prepare our own picnic mats (we bought disposable picnic mats). Be sure to buy ones with nails, otherwise they will be easily blown away by the wind. The grassy area at the event site is very large, and the organizers will use poles and ropes to enclose a fixed area for others to sit in. ps: I personally think that this area is too small and not enough. Therefore, more people at the venue find a seat and lay down their mats to sit on (❗️It is recommended to find a seat next to a landmark, such as under a tree or next to a stall, otherwise it will be difficult to find a seat after you leave, especially after dark‼️ Just lay down next to others, don’t worry about no one watching you). If you need to leave temporarily, take your valuables with you and leave some empty bags. We left an empty school bag and a garbage bag. ⭕️Finally, it is recommended that you bring a picnic mat, umbrella, insect repellent, water, food, and garbage bags. Enter and exit the market in an orderly manner, and pay attention to personal and financial safety.
