We booked a standalone villa suite.

I really like the relaxed vacation vibe.

🌈 The sun in Chengdu has been warm and comfortable these days, and I specifically went to Jintang Haiquanwan to breathe the fresh air. To my surprise, I discovered a hidden treasure - the Mercure Sofitel Hotel! 🏨

🛁 As soon as I entered the villa, I was captivated by the huge private hot spring! 💦 The private hot spring is located in the courtyard of the villa, designed with a Japanese flair, filled with Zen and serenity.
🌊 The hotel is situated in Baima Village, which has a natural hot spring originating from deep underground, rich in minerals and trace elements. These precious elements, under the influence of the hot spring, slowly penetrate the skin, nourishing the body. Every breath feels fresh and comfortable, thanks to the hot spring.
🛏️ The room was even more stunning! Spacious and bright, with soft bedding and large floor-to-ceiling windows, I could fully enjoy the beautiful view outside. Waking up every morning to the sunlight filling the room, it feels like the whole world is filled with warmth and hope. 🌞
🍴 The hotel's restaurant is also a highlight! There is a variety of food available, whether Chinese or Western, to satisfy your taste buds. Especially their signature desserts, each bite is full of happiness. 🍰

Wufengxi Ancient Town, officially known as Wufeng Town, is located on the banks of the Tuo River in the middle section of the Longquan Mountain Range, within Jintang County of Chengdu City, 48 kilometers away from Chengdu. The town is named after the five highest and sharpest peaks that resemble soaring phoenixes, as the mountains within its territory are extremely winding, stretching from north to south and then east. The five ancient streets are also named after the phoenixes: Jinfeng, Qingfeng, Yufeng, Baifeng, and Xiaofeng. By the mid-Qing Dynasty, Wufengxi Ancient Town had already become the number one waterway port in Western Sichuan, with a profound commercial and immigrant cultural heritage. With the tide of immigration, the essence of culture and artistic wisdom gathered and sublimated in this small town, leading to the integration of guild culture, Hakka culture, religious culture, and Western Sichuan culture, presenting a diverse pattern. To this day, the town still retains guild halls and temples built by immigrants from other provinces in the early Qing Dynasty, such as the Guangdong Guild Hall, Hubei Guild Hall, Shaanxi Guild Hall, and the Huoshen Temple.

Wufengxi Ancient Town is located on the bank of the Tuojiang River in Jintang County, Chengdu, 48 kilometers away from Chengdu. It is located in the middle of the Longquan Mountain Range. Because the mountain peaks resemble phoenixes, and the highest peaks are five, hence the name.
Wufengxi was already an important wharf on the upper reaches of the Tuojiang River during the Han and Tang Dynasties. By the middle of the Qing Dynasty, there were four ferry crossings, Zhalu Crossing, Mingyang Crossing, Jinniu Crossing, and Luoba Crossing, continuously transporting grains and handicrafts from western Sichuan to Chongqing, and then transporting salt, fruits and foreign goods from Chongqing, Yibin, and Luzhou, and then transported to Chengdu 50 kilometers away for sale through mountain roads.
Due to the special terrain, the ancient town of Wufengxi was built along the slope, uneven, and well-arranged. Therefore, it is known as 'half mountain and river, half city', enjoying tranquility and comfort between mountains and rivers.
The ancient town has five ancient streets named Jin Feng, Qing Feng, Yu Feng, Bai Feng, and Xiao Feng. Wufengxi Ancient Town is the hometown of Mr. He Lin, a master of Neo-Confucianism in China, known as the 'Father of Eastern Hegel'. He Lin is a famous philosopher, historian of philosophy, Hegel research expert, translator, and educator in China; he is the founder of 'New Neo-Confucianism' and one of the representative figures of contemporary Neo-Confucianism.
