I've seen people uploading photos on the great Buddha in Kamakura a long time before I finally had the chance to visit it. With its long history, it's really surprising how well-maintain it was. so I finally ventured into Kamakura see it with my own eyes. My first impression of it was Wow! It's really big! It looks quite sturdy, and of course it looks very good at its age. I didn't enter the Buddha, but just the look of it from the outside is quite impressive already. The shop in the temple sell goodies, cookies, snacks that features the Great Buddha too. Not to forget, all the good luck charms/Omamori you could get as souvenirs for friends and relatives. I'm not sure how many of the tourists who visited the place felt this way, but I felt extremely peaceful while I'm at the temple #givethanks #givethanks
