5 days in Koh Phangan

Koh Phangan was way more chill than I expected. Most people know it for the Full Moon Parties, but if you go outside of those times, the island has a really relaxed vibe. It’s quiet, peaceful, and a great place to just slow down and take it easy. The beaches are beautiful, with clear water and soft sand. Some of the best ones are a bit tricky to get to, but that’s part of the adventure. Places like Bottle Beach or Haad Yuan feel really untouched, and they’re perfect if you want to escape the crowds. You’ll definitely need a scooter to get around. The island isn’t huge, but the roads are hilly and winding, and there’s not much public transport. Riding a scooter gives you the freedom to explore at your own pace, but it helps if you’ve ridden one before since the roads can be a little rough in spots. There’s more to do than just beach-hopping. You can check out waterfalls, do some hiking, or try a yoga class if that’s your thing. There are also some cool little markets and food stalls where you can try local dishes, and plenty of cafés if you just want to chill with a smoothie or coffee. Overall, Koh Phangan surprised me in a good way. It’s not just a party island—it’s actually a really relaxing place if you go at the right time. I’d definitely go back. #kohphangan #thailandtrip
