Who doesn't know where to capture the stunning sunset in Kunming yet? Here are a few of my favorite spots Within the city Healing spots Gorgeous sunset check-in points : 1⃣【Haidong Wetland】 Navigate to Haidong Wetland Park Time⏰ 24 hours open Features💿 There is a large lawn facing Dian Lake, connected to Baofeng Wetland Park, bringing a picnic blanket for camping is a good choice Transportation It is recommended to take the subway line 5 towards Baofeng, get off at Baofeng station, walk 500 meters, coming from Baofeng Wetland Park (Tips: Lazy people recommend taking a taxi 🚗, the estimated cost from the city center is 50 yuan) 2⃣【Wangguan Wetland】 Navigate to Wangguan Wetland Park Time⏰ 7 am—7 pm (no entry after 6 pm) Features💿 The famous Liulin Beach, facing the vast Dian Lake, blowing the gentle evening breeze, is a nice place to unwind, bordering with the Dounan Wetland, there are several viewing platforms on the connecting Huanhu Road in the park Transportation Get off at Meizicun station on subway line 4, ride a shared electric bike for two kilometers (Tips: The subway passes by the Dounan Flower Market 🌸 at Jinguixiang subway station, it is recommended to get off there, take a taxi 🚗 while also visiting the flower market, and buy a bouquet of flowers 🌷 in advance) 3⃣【Haihong Wetland】 Navigate to Haihong Wetland Time⏰ 9 am—5 pm Features💿 In early April, you can still see seagulls, the combination of sea waves + seagulls really makes for great photos, and boating in the water forest is truly delightful (Ticket price: 100 yuan deposit + 90 yuan/hour) Transportation What if Haihong Wetland closes early and you can't get in? Don't worry. Haigeng Park is connected to Haihong Wetland, you can cycle around the lake on Huanhu West Road or walk along the lakeside Huanhu Road, the whole journey is 1.9 kilometers (Tips: Lazy people who don't want to walk can take a taxi 🚗 earlier) 📋Tips: All the above places are photogenic, not far from the city center, and have planned public routes for travel (you won't encounter situations where you can't find a taxi, there are no bus lines or bicycles available...) If you can't make it to Chenggong District, the following places can all be top choices Sunset time in Kunming🌅 6:30 pm—7:20 pm The sun is strong in Kunming in the afternoon☀️, and the lake breeze is strong in the evening, be sure to take sun protection and keep warm (sunscreen + sunglasses + jacket)
