The Architectural Marvel of Kunming - The 'Pin' Character Triple Arches

Kunming is a city with a long-standing cultural history, yet ancient architecture is not commonly seen within the city. Among them, the most exceptional is the 'Pin' Character Triple Arches located at the center of Kunming. The so-called 'Pin' Character Triple Arches refer to the Jinma Archway, Biji Archway, and Zhong'ai Archway. These three exquisite arches are arranged in the shape of the Chinese character '品' (pin), with Jinma and Biji Archways standing opposite each other on the square, while Zhong'ai Archway stands alone near the Nanping Pedestrian Street. These three arches outline the skeleton of the old city of Kunming. The 'Pin' Character Triple Arches have a long history, dating back to the Ming Dynasty, and have always been a symbol of Kunming.
