[Kyoto] Arashiyama 🎋 World Heritage Site Tenryu-ji Temple 🐉

A must-see spot for sightseeing in Arashiyama is Tenryuji Temple, a registered World Heritage Site. It is a historic temple that is said to have been built by Ashikaga Takauji to commemorate the soul of Emperor Godaigo, and is the head temple of the Rinzai sect. A particular highlight is the Sogenchi Garden, designed by Muso Soseki. The garden features a stroll-style pond, and the scenery with Arashiyama and Kameyama as backdrops is truly spectacular! You can enjoy the beauty of the four seasons. Also, don't miss the "Cloud Dragon Painting" painted on the ceiling of the lecture hall. The dragon's eyes meet from any angle, and the "Eight-Way Glancing Dragon" is very impressive!
