A must-visit soba restaurant with long lines Last weekend, I took a casual trip to Kyoto with an old friend. Although the weather was a bit iffy, we had a wonderful and happy time. Of course, the first thing we had to do was enjoy some delicious food! We decided to visit "Kyoto Kamo Soba Den." Even at 4:00 PM on a Saturday, there was still a line outside 💦. But the wait was absolutely worth it—the food was incredible! Their homemade thick soba noodles, with a firm and chewy texture, paired perfectly with the rich duck broth. The tender and flavorful duck meat was simply divine, and adding a touch of condiments allowed us to enjoy subtle changes in flavor—a delightful experience. And here's a secret: this restaurant is also famous for its creamy duck oyakodon (duck and egg rice bowl) 🍳. The sweet and savory broth-soaked eggs combined with the tender duck meat create a bowl of pure happiness. Ordering it as a set with the soba was the perfect choice 🙌🏻.
