Tibet/Female 3500 Seven Days Six Nights Complete Guide

It's been about half a month since I returned from Tibet. This time I visited three cities: Shigatse, Shannan, and Lhasa (because I had classes, this week's itinerary was quite intense). For those who want to travel alone, you can also refer to this~sharing some of my travel tips👇🏻: How to enter Tibet (Chengdu✈️-Lhasa✈️) round trip Entry flight: 336 Exit flight: 199 + rescheduling fee 238 (This was from a flight blind box draw!! I set the departure location as Lhasa and was very lucky to get a direct ticket back to Chengdu, and it was with Air China, a major airline🤣) You can try your luck with the flight blind box) Route 🐾 (Group tour 1100 including accommodation 🛏️ and meals 🍚) Day 1: Land at Shannan Airport - airport shuttle 30 per person to Lhasa Civil Aviation Bureau (It was Wednesday, so I went to Zhaqi Monastery to pray for wealth!!) In the afternoon and evening, I strolled around Barkhor Street and Barkhor Mall, walking over 10,000 steps! (Not recommended to walk so much right after arriving in Tibet, I didn’t have much altitude sickness) Day 2: Lhasa—Yamdrok Lake—Karola Glacier—Manla Reservoir (Yamdrok Lake is super beautiful, a must-visit to experience Shannan’s hidden gems~snow mountains + lakes are truly stunning!! Top-level scenery) Key point‼️ (There are no entrance fees for winter travel in Tibet, and accommodation can be very affordable. But at the beginning, we were recommended to rent oxygen machines at supply points! The medical staff at the supply points exaggerated and kept scaring us, saying renting this was unnecessary. Don’t rent it, if you feel bad just go to a hospital or clinic for oxygen. This oxygen machine is really useless and very expensive, 480 for 3 days 😑 I regret this expense the most) Day 3: Shigatse—apply for border pass—Gyatso La Pass—Everest Base Camp—return to Everest Town (If you get car sick, be careful of the 108 bends. Prepare sour plums. The high altitude made me dizzy and had a headache. Remember to eat well. My altitude sickness symptoms were insomnia and headache 🤦‍♀️ couldn’t sleep until dawn, but during the day almost no symptoms. The golden sunlight on the mountains was beautiful~🫂) Day 4: 108 Bends Viewing Platform—Mangre County snow photo shoot—Xuegela Mountain prayer flags—Nyenchen Tanglha Viewing Platform—Damxung (Almost all driving, occasional photos. This day was really tiring because we didn’t play much, mostly in the car. But the driver was very nice! As a southerner who had never seen snow ❄️, I told the driver, so he let us get off to play in the snow and take photos 📷) Day 5: Damxung County—Namtso Lake—Nyenchen Tanglha—Lhasa (Namtso is incredibly beautiful! Snow mountains, lakes, and flocks of seagulls! Originally wanted to go to Shenzhang Tianmen 🥹 but the group tour booked the wrong place) Day 6: Potala Palace—experience Tibetan costume—Barkhor Street—Ruyi Hotpot Day 7: Yibire Bun Shop—Sky Post Office—return trip Safety‼️: Lhasa is very safe, and prices are not that exaggerated. There really isn’t much good food 🥹 You can travel alone, but you must pay attention to altitude sickness. Altitude headaches are really painful. If you feel bad, definitely go to the hospital 🏥 for oxygen. The detailed itinerary and scenery are all in the pictures~ Set off for Tibet to feel the beauty of the world 🍁

Ready for an epic 3-day adventure across Southwest China? From majestic Buddhas to golden-roofed monasteries, this trip mixes legendary landmarks with serious mountain vibes 🏔️✨ Top Spots to Visit: Day 1: Leshan Giant Buddha, Chengdu Area Kick things off in Leshan with the mind-blowing Giant Buddha (2435 Lingyun Road). Carved right into the cliff, it's truly massive! Go early to avoid crowds—opens at 07:30 (Apr–Oct). Night visits are beautiful; the illuminated Buddha glows until 22:30. Bring water and an umbrella (rain pops up out of nowhere). Day 2: Kumbum Monastery, Xining Xining’s Kumbum Monastery (No. 56 Jinta Road, Huangzhong) is a spiritual feast—golden roofs, flowerbeds, and serene mountain backdrops. Opens 07:30–17:30 (Apr–Oct). Budget time to enjoy the detailed art and maybe catch monks chanting. Entry is cheap (¥10). Local tip: stroll the surrounding area for fresh yak yogurt at roadside stalls. Day 3: Potala Palace, Lhasa Iconic is an understatement. Potala Palace (No. 35, Beijing Middle Rd) glitters under the sun and clouds, with flowerbeds in front—perfect photo ops! Opens as early as 08:30 (seasonal). Advance tickets are a must; they sell out fast. Prepare for some stair-climbing, and acclimatize to the altitude with slow sightseeing. Getting Around—Travel Hacks: Use trains/flights for long jumps between cities (trip.com is your best friend for booking). Local taxis are affordable, but consider buses for real-deal local flavor. Weather flips between sunny and rainy fast, so pack a small foldable umbrella, sunblock, and layers. Food Musts: Don’t skip spicy Sichuan bites in Leshan! In Lhasa, try yak butter tea and sweet Tibetan bread at local teahouses. Key Tips: Bring cash (small bills) for entry fees and street snacks. Altitude in Lhasa/Xining: hydrate and slow down. Best photo time—mornings or post-rain for moody mountain scenery! #ChinaTravel #SouthwestChina #LhasaDiaries #CulturalJourney #tripdotcom
