A mere speck in the vast ocean. Dongjia Tower, also known as Tazai Tower, is located in Huangshi Town, Licheng District, Putian City. Named Dongjia Tower, it is actually 4 kilometers away from Dongjia Village, with Tingjiang Village being even closer. You can find it by navigating to Xin Hai Dian on the map, but be aware of the tidal changes, as there are two low tides each day, and it is only during these times that you can access Qingyu Island where Xin Hai Dian is located. This way of visiting the island is quite romantic, somewhat resembling the path of seeking in the Peach Blossom Luck, and before the road disappears, you have enough time to leave this place. The stone tower is built on a rocky beach, in the style of a stone imitation pavilion, hollow, with five levels and a square shape, approximately 15 meters tall, and the base is about 4 square meters wide. From the first to the fifth level, each level of the tower body recedes inward by about 70 centimeters, forming a sharp tower shape that is smaller at the top and larger at the bottom. The first level has a door on the east side, and the remaining five levels originally had twenty stone Buddha statues placed on all sides, but now only one remains, with the others having been stolen. Tazai Island, where the stone tower is located, rises above the sea level, and during high tide, only one-third of it is visible above the water, hence the name 'Tazai'. When the tide is out, the base can be fully exposed to the sunlight, shining brightly.
