Pahiyas Festival in Lucban

Lucban in the province of Quezon, in the northern part of the Philippines is known for ita Pahiyas Festival, one of, if not the most colorful festival in the Philippines. The place showcased also their famouse Lucban Lonngganisa (sausage). Their iconic San Luis Obispo de Tolosa Parish Church have been erected some 420 years ago. The church’s exterior is proof to it’s age (very old indeed) but the interiors have already been renovated and looks new. But it has been said that the original church which was built in 1595 was ruined in 1629 then replaced thereafter in 1630-1640. It met the same fate in 1733. The Church that we see today was completed in 1738 followed by its Convent in 1743.
