Bailudong Academy, also wishing to live in seclusion and read books here like the ancients, 'started in Tang, flourished in Song, continued in Ming and Qing', has a history of over a thousand years and is one of the four great academies of China, enjoying the reputation of 'the foremost academy under heaven'. The overall architecture is built in a stringed fashion from west to east along Guandao Creek, with Bailudong Academy being the third group of five courtyards, located east of the Lixing Gate Courtyard, west of the Ziyang Academy, featuring attractions such as the Imperial Book Pavilion, Minglun Hall, Bailudong Cave, and Sixian Platform. The academy is serene and simple, with people sketching by the creek, as if in dialogue with the ancients, making the scene even more wonderful.
