Thai Royal Park Rajapruek

#songkran2024 The Thai Royal Park Rajapruek is a definite must-see for tourists and visitors of Chiang Mai. With both shuttle buses and taxi access (for only a few quid) it's somewhere you can easily spend a whole day perusing these beautifully green and opulent grounds. Entrance fee (which is cash only) includes a free map of the grounds where you can explore with ease, and you can even hire bikes should you wish to do so. The temple* that is at the centre this park is stunning and you can learn lots about the King, the history of the king and his history with the people and land of Thailand. There are numerous facilities throughout the site for coffees, cool drinks and ice-cream, etc. as well as plenty of toilets, and plenty of places to sit and take in the beautiful landscape. And yes, there is also a cute gift shop. The only thing I would advise is to go early, around 10 am, so that you can see as much as possible before the mid-day sun really hits. *This is the only part that would be inaccessible to wheelchair users, but they also get free entry.
