Prince Teng pavilion
Prince Teng pavilion is a very beautiful park in Nanchang City, Jiangxi province. I highly recommend seeing it. It shows the life of the people in Tang dynasty. You can see the clothes they wore, the room setting. There's also museum at the bottom of the pavilion and a gift shop. Around the pavilion is a very beautiful park, great for a short walk, have a rest, eat some food. There's also convenience store next to the pavilion for buying drinks and snacks. There's an option of taking a boat from one side of the river to the pavilion at night and enjoy it under beautiful colorful lights. It's worth seeing it many times.#rediscovertravel
Tengwang Pavilion
Tengwang Pavilion is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Nanchang. As a place mentioned in numerous Tangshi and ancient China articles, it is famous across the nation. The Pavilion is rebuilt since the original one is destroyed. The current pavilion even equivalent with elevators. Though convenient for tourists, it definitely made the attractions less ancient. The view from the top of the tower is fabulous. You can see both the River and the view of the city. This attractions is not large but the location is very convenient and not very crowded except for the peak seasons. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the city
Travel to learn from other cultures
Parking is a bit expensive, so rather take the subway, line 1 and get off at 滕王阁站。
Attractions include ancient buildings and artifacts.
There are some good hotels nearby at competitive prices.
The food is amazing, most of the cuisines are the city’s specialty: 南昌拌粉 & 瓦罐汤。
There are a lot of things to buy including clothes, accessories. I got some souvenirs from there. Some resemble the beautiful outfits from the different dynasties. I also bought some souvenirs of the different building structures in the area. It’s definitely worth the trip if you are into learning about culture and good for pictures too. #china #nanchang #jiangxi #gthatguy1

Jiangxi Provincial Museum Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Checkout Jiangxi’s Museum. It’s super huge!!!
The new museum is located on Xinzhou surrounded by Ganjiang and Fuhe in Nanchang City. It is bordered by Fuhe in the east, Zhongshan Bridge in the south, Ganjiang River in the west, and Tengwang Pavilion, one of the three famous buildings in the south of the Yangtze River in the north. It has a beautiful environment. It covers an area of 60 mu, a construction area of 35,000 square meters, and an exhibition hall area of 13,000 square meters. It will bring the three museums of history, nature and revolution. Together, it forms a large comprehensive museum, which is the first in the country.
The main architectural modeling of the building is based on the three white porcelain unearthed in the imperial kiln of Jingdezhen in the Ming Dynasty. The three halls of the history museum, the revolutionary museum and the natural museum are integrated, which skillfully integrates ancient ceramic art with the modern architectural style; solemn and elegant, unique.
In the central square of the museum stands a large bronze sculpture "Time and Space", which consists of three parts: the gate edge beams on the bronzeware of the Shang Dynasty, the four-legged bronze of the merchant, the four-legged bronze of the Fubird and the torch, which means a brilliant civilization and long history; the world treasures, the outstanding people; and the fire of the stars can start a prairie fire.

The first stop in Jiangxi, the museum! Coming to the sea, I was really disappointed! Although I was psychologically prepared, I saw the pile (it is said that only the tip of the iceberg was seen, there are more than ten tons actually unearthed), the various gold cakes of various sizes, various bronzes, What is jade or something, it is still shocking. There are still a lot of lacquerware still under repair (like the screen of Confucius portrait), and I look forward to seeing ~
ps earlier: 1. Because the Jiangxi Museum is about to move to the new museum (the staff said that it will look like October) ), so now only the No. 1 Hall, two parts, one is the sea faint, and the other is the red cradle.
2. Closed on Monday, remember to bring your ID card!
3. It is very close to Tengwang Pavilion, so the two can be played together. The Tengwang Pavilion of Metro Line 1 stands out a little.
Awaiting the summer, encounter a feast of exquisite porcelain elegance
"Appreciate the splendor of fine porcelain, witness the brilliant chapters of Chinese civilization"
China is a great nation with a splendid civilization spanning five thousand years; its imperial porcelain, with six hundred years of history, shines like jewels in the fire. The imperial kilns of Jingdezhen during the Ming and Qing dynasties, rooted in Jiangxi's everlasting kiln fires, produced porcelain of excellent quality and ingenious craftsmanship, reaching another pinnacle in the history of Chinese porcelain making.
"What is an Imperial Kiln?"
The Imperial Kiln was an institution established in Jingdezhen during the Ming and Qing dynasties, responsible for the production of porcelain. It was the highest form of official kiln, exclusively for imperial use.
"Gathering the Best"
Jingdezhen has a long history of porcelain making, inheriting excellent traditions while also "crossing boundaries and breaking circles," drawing inspiration from beyond the realm of ceramics, incorporating the strengths of various crafts, and encapsulating the essence of traditional culture, displaying the unique "Chinese aesthetics" of the East.
"Only the Finest"
The six hundred years of the Imperial Kiln's charm have been realized through continuous breakthroughs and innovations, constantly introducing new classics, like an inexhaustible spring, cementing the legend of Chinese porcelain in world history.
"Embracing All Rivers"
Porcelain, as a carrier of culture, bears the tradition of Chinese culture and includes the cultures of various ethnic groups, continuing the exchange between civilizations and presenting the integration of multiculturalism, reflecting an inclusive and broad-minded spirit.
"Everlasting Life"
To write about ceramics, one must write about "the civilization of the state, building the southern center for hard pottery with stamped patterns; about technological innovation, with Hongzhou kiln celadon leading the era; about the leaping deer among wooden leaves, with Jizhou kiln opening a new chapter for folk kilns; about underglaze blue and red, with Jingdezhen ushering in a new era of colored porcelain; about the Ming and Qing Imperial Kilns, with the fine wares of Jiangxi reaching new heights in the history of porcelain. About the old artists who carry on the mantle, gathering in Jiangxi to compose a long-standing epic of ceramic history.
"Glory Returns"
A total of 21 emperors' imperial porcelain, 180 exquisite imperial porcelain masterpieces, the peak works of the Ming and Qing Imperial Kilns. At the Jiangxi Provincial Museum, porcelain becomes scenery, and the scenery becomes paintings, exquisitely unparalleled, breathtaking classic imperial porcelain works over 600 years, for the first time on a large scale returning to their homeland, very meaningful! According to official data, the current number of visitors has exceeded 1 million, making it the 'top draw' of the Jiangxi Provincial Museum.
"Tour Information"
Exhibition period: 2024.1.8-2024.6.1
📍Location: No.1 Exhibition Hall, 1st Floor, Jiangxi Provincial Museum
Transportation: Exit 1/2 of Zhujiang Road Station on Metro Line 1, walk 800m
Business hours: 9:00-17:00 (closed on Mondays)
Tickets: Free admission, reservation required for museum tickets
⚠️"The Return of the Imperial Porcelain," has already concluded (until June 1st), looking forward to its next return!
Museum Adventure Notes | Jiang Bo
Since watching 'National Treasures', I have fallen in love with museums. Stepping into a museum, it seems that one can't help but explore the mysteries within. Looking at these cultural relics, we can feel the 'life' of cultural legends, understand the civilization and the spiritual core of the continuation of Chinese culture that these artifacts carry, and arouse the public's attention to the protection of cultural relics and the guardianship of civilization.
A museum is like a three-dimensional 'encyclopedia', highly condensing history and culture within it, and it is the best window for us to understand the historical style of a city or a region.
The Jiangxi Provincial Museum collects precious historical relics and ancient art treasures discovered from all over Jiangxi, and it is the museum with the most collections of cultural relics in the province.

Meiling National Scenic Area Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Did someone say hiking??? Let’s go!
Went hiking with my friends. It was an awesome trip, full of fun & adventure. As a person who loves nature, this experience was definitely a memorable one. We used a taxi to & fro, though a bit pricey compared to using the bus but it was worth it (as the bus is usually full). We also bought food, snacks that is, prior to climbing. As the weather in Nanchang is very hot & humid in summer, I’ld recommend one brings lots of water, an umbrella & bug spray. There are many mountains and hills in Meiling so it’s good to plan ahead where exactly you’ll be heading to. There are also other activities that one can do, and there are good spots for chilling outside, a picnic maybe. Definitely try it out if you are an adventurous person. #meiling #china #gthatguy1 #nanchang #hiking
Today, I reached the summit of Meiling - Leigongjian
Today the weather is nice, and early in the morning, I drove to the parking lot of Wujing Reservoir in Wanli. Then I started to climb the mountain, first along the mountain road to 'Fayuan Zen Temple', and then began to ascend. It took an hour to finally reach the top 'Lingguan Pavilion' (Leigongjian). From the summit, the view is very broad; the mountains are undulating, the vegetation is lush, high-rise buildings stand in the direction of Wanli, and the water of Wujing Reservoir is emerald green, like a precious jade. Meiling is truly a geomantic treasure.

Jiangxi, don't hide anymore! Check in at the Wanshou Palace Historical and Cultural District in Nanchang
Jiangxi has a history of frequent floods, causing much suffering to the people. It is said that during the Western Jin Dynasty, the founder of the Taoist Pure Brightness Sect, Master Xu Xun, led his disciples to control the floods. For this reason, the people of Jiangxi have worshipped him as the 'Lord of Blessings' for generations. During the Yongjia period of the Western Jin Dynasty, to commemorate Master Xu, the people of Nanchang began to build the Iron Pillar Wanshou Palace, originally named Jingyang Shrine.
Since then, it has become the ancestral hall of Wanshou Palaces at home and abroad.
Now, it has become the Wanshou Palace Historical and Cultural District, a popular check-in spot in Nanchang, a gathering place for food, fun, and entertainment, and a lively choice for the night economy.
Address: No. 420 Zhongshan Road, Xihu District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province
